Not a fan. I have a Rhodan, and out of the box, installed by a authorized dealer, it was binding and I had trouble releasing it from its cradle. Lube the shaft with Vaseline was their answer. After just a few months, and 50-miles off-shore in the Gulf, the motor failed again. They had to replace the upper and lower circuit boards and the cord. I'm pretty much fed up with it and if it fails again, I will axe it, literally, and buy a different brand ...

I spent $700 dollars to put one of these on my boat's 12000 btu Cruisair AC unit. It reduced the in-rush current to 24 amps. I tried to contact the company on their website and ask why it was so high and nobody responded. I used a boost capacitor that cost $20 to help start my AC using my inverter and it work about just as well. I think 16 amps on a 16000btu unit is a little hard to believe in a real application.
Yep, you're absolutely right! Use the Supco SPP6 (Not the SPP6E). Seems Dometic is marketing the same "wheel" that has been around for decades as though it's "new technology" at a ridiculous price. Additionally, MANY start problems can be mitigated with clean, solid, tight connections on shortest runs of adequately gauged (more than marginal) copper wire, which is frequently NOT the case in trailer or boat construction.
Only one person needed to operate this boat, and only one person can operate a joystick at a time. This is one of the easiest yachts in the world to dock!

I bought my Geonav Gypsy in 2007 and it stopped working in 2008 by which time the company had moved to Italy and did not want to know. I spent 1000 GBP (Great Britain Pounds) in my purchasing my hand held plotter and maps and they now sit useless in my desk drawer. Geonav after sales service has been completely useless in my case.

i had a keelshield on my old boat and it worked perfectly. before you put this on, you want to get a forty dollar tub of marinetex and go to town on the bottom of your boat making sure to cover all bare fiberglass scraped off by beaching. you can sand it with a hand sander, here is the link to it in case anyone is interested: amzn.to\128MOen

Very cool! Great to see the development taking place in the application of electric motors to outboards and inboards for boats…perhaps true green will be part of the marine industry in the not to distant future.
Well anyone who knows a thing about installing these lights would know the proper process. Unless of course these lights are made of pure plastic like the cheap Wal-Mart lights, which shouldn't even be on a boat as they break easily. Check out Shadow-Caster underwater lights, they are one of the best brands out there.

They forgot to sand the bottom paint off, plus the bead of 4200 was too thin. Looks like a bad install in my opinion. :-(
