My bad you purposely did that. 👍🏼
Yes, it works the same.
Your boom is upside down.
Yes, it will work either way.
I need that style transaxle for mine. I have one but need at least two others. Mine isn’t a Murray but it’s a ranch king of the same design.
You can find them on ebay but they will cost you. Best deal is to search on Facebook Market Place or maybe Craigslist. Go to your local junk yard or lawn care dealership they probably have some you can buy cheap. Will need to buy whole tractor, but will be cheap.
Blain's farm& fleet has them on clearance right now for $1750
At what price is it worth it?
@@FIXANDREPAIR still not worth it at 1750
@@coreypuck3295 probably worth it at 750
Did you consider it isn't made for adults?? It's aimed for the younger age market
Correct but there are several adults whom also use these things as well. Videos abound on CZcams.
Nice job. I'm interested in your seat springs. Am I correct in assuming that you added a second level of 8 springs to the stock two? I have a very bumpy lawn (Chipped a tooth going over it). Does the extra springs help? Thank you.
Hi, I added a second level of springs for a total of 6. I also added the large U springs with a set of coil springs in the open U part. I did this to raise the seat as well. I used the parts available at that time. My best suggestion is to go to your local junk yard and wait for a JD or cub cadet comes in and buy the entire seat and pan assembly. People junk tractors with nice seat assemblies all the time. The newer seats are cushioned better and the flip seat mechanisms with springs work nicely, compared to the spring assembly on original mtd ranch kings. Free mowers abound on Facebook Market Place too or local lawn care business that takes in junk mowers on trade. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. Hopefully this helps.
@@FIXANDREPAIR I have the tilt seat on my X303, but the springs aren't strong enough to support my bulk so I will be adding more. I did subscribe. Thanks.
Thanks buddy. I have one of those “8” ball ones also. They are fine when it’s tight. But over time it moves. Just like you mentioned. I am getting a Tisco.
Thanks for watching.
Dude you're being really picky. For 2500 bucks it would be great for a kid. Price is not bad. Look up the Price for a Polaris Kids Side By Side. About 7K plus another 1K they rip you off with due to Delivery/Freight Charges to their Store which makes no sense you have to pay the dealership since they had it delivered. Plus another 250 dollars for Title Fees. So now you are over 8K.
Absolutely shocking 😳. I'm glad I don't have kids. Thanks for posting and watching 👀.
For a kid or a dad thould woild be fun to drive around the neighborhood instead of people using golf carts or dirt bikes
I agree it would have the cool factor. However, when it breaks and it will, was it worth the money compared to a golf cart? A used gator would be a better value.
I'm looking at doing a clutch replacement. Any assistance you could offer?
Yes, join the economy power king groups on Facebook. Russ Chastin has a web page devoted to that. Also members there can assist. In future will do video on modifications to clutch. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
My dewalt drill saids is made in Mexico. Can u explain.?Genuine question
Probably they now have a plant in Mexico to save on shipping costs, similar to the car manufacturers.
The Maxi Van was ugly. But i like the short wheelbase panel vans.
Yes easier to drive.
Were is your store what country are you in
Blain Supply, Inc., doing business as Blain's Farm & Fleet, is a regional chain of 45 retail stores in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Michigan
I am thinking roll the boom 180° so the tension bar is on top. It is not strong enough to handle compressive loading.
Actually, I thought the same, and I talked to my welder and he said it would work. Most it will be lifting is 500lbs. All the hydraulics can handle.
We had a ranch king. it's faster than most zero turns
They were made to last and quite expensive in the day.
Truck? Like Semi?
I only use it on truck rims a 2500 series chevy. 16 inch probably would work on 17" too.
That’s badasss
Thanks, it is a tough tractor.
What was the shifter you mentioned about having to go to P before being able to downshift? Was it a B&M?
Sounds right. Also from reviews I read, BM shifters are poor quality now.
This shifter is similar to my 1964 hurst dual gate and its built tough. I figured for the price of used older shifters, I would just buy this instead and have something new.
Hi , can I install that lever on a 4R44E transmission from a 99 Ford Explorer, and where can I get the lever?
BROWN STOVE WORKS, INC. TENNESSEE EST. 1935
I have the malco eagle grips! they are solid as you can get!
Never heard of them ...have to check them out.
How is the ease of turning the steering with those 6-12 R1 tires on the front?
I would go with the thinner tires I have on other tractor. Check out my other video. It is harder to steer, but looks nice.
Thanks your the Best brother
Your welcome and please subscribe.
For just using stuff you had sitting around to install a shifter out of a completely different car you did a real clean job with that….almost looks like it could have been a factory option.
Thanks, I appreciate that. The older stuff one can still work on, for it was all mechanical and well made.
It’s a stupid go cart, they are trash
I agree, it no honda odyssey. Thanks for watching 👀.
For a go-kart, this guy is reviewing this like it's an atv/4 wheeler.
Back in 1985, this was the price of a Honda 4 Trax and still a great machine.
Picking the same mower up this Saturday how well does that transmission hold up being welded?
Never welded one, but be careful when removing rusted rear rims off rear axles. Might need to cut them off and buy hubs, like I showed in one of my videos.
For $2500, you aren’t going to buy a running pickup, plus you need plates and insurance. And used atvs around here go for that much or more. Finding a used atv isn’t easy.
Where I live can still find trucks for this price and even less. Granted usually rusted out but still run.
You added a wheel, not a rim.
Tomato; 🍅
@FIXANDREPAIR Wong, there actually is a difference between a wheel and a rim. The rim is merely the outer edge of a wheel, but apparently, you didn't know that.
Looks good, and interesting to see th mods you did on the mower drive. 73 was an odd year. 1st yeas with the new body style (and elect mower clutch) yet still had the old mower hitch setup. If ya need a wiring diagram, let me know. Looks like you have starter current running through the ign switch. That won't last long, you need a starter sol (available at any auto parts store).
Yes, please send me a wiring diagram. It is my next project. Thanks for the information.
How much weight does it lift?
Current stock hydraulics on pk handle around 350lbs or so. But engine lift can handle 1,200. Once hydraulics updated will hopefully get to 500lbs range. Which is a nice number. Wouldn't want to lift much more because then need to add weights to front.
Looks good (Lube up)
Thanks for watching.
Awesome tractor... Funny... You talking about it being a small Jub I have a Jub & a NNA.. & of course the PK...
All great tractors that are easy to work on and extremely practical in design.
Um u get you pay so um no!!
It worked for me, thanks for watching.
I've welded steel to make it stronger and not bend and works much better
I agree most Harbor Freight items need to be beefed up; so they can handle rigorous use.
Can you please make a video of the different Axis utv models that are available for purchase at Lowe's?
Yes I did, thanks for watching.
They are both worth the money!
They are very nice High Quality Units!
Get hole in motor easy from chain undneath
Wouldn't doubt it, I wouldn't buy one, they are cheaply made.

These videos are solid +. --Enjoy seeing the details. Would love to see it in action plowing snow!
Thanks for the compliment. So far no snow, but when there is, I'll make a video.
Before inflation something like that would probably cost sub $1800. I dont think it's meant for kids more like an adult golf cart to get around a big property or something.
It looks neat but lacks durability.
Wow, great looking tractor and you've really made it your own with all the mods. Nice work!!
Thanks, I appreciate it. Next will be power steering and new hydraulic pump.
What size Wheels do you do? I have 17in and the balancer claims its rated for 15in wheels
The largest and heaviest wheels I do are 16", 8 lug, steel chevy rims. I don't own anything larger, so never tried anything bigger. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.

How does the front wheel assembly look like on a 18hp
It is basically like a sears craftsman with pressed welded tin. Not very sturdy compared with tractor size. That is why I went with a cast iron one.

That’s the coolest power king ever
Thank you, I view the tractor similar to an Erector set, it can be adapted to whatever one needs it to be.
My cutlass r broken to but I seen u push it and it’s spring loaded we’re r the springs?
The metal piece across the top is the spring. Look at that for broken tabs. That's how I fixed mine in the video.
Oh ok thanks
Yeah i agree they are at least a thousand over priced,
Exactly, if you know what you are looking at, one can easily see the quality isn't there at all.
Its still junk, even car tires it sucks, i have old one and it works better then that one, i had that one and it broke first time, took back, bought some steel and modified old one and works good now, but still only works on truck tires up to 31's.
I agree, many items from Harbor Freight needs to modified, like my tire changer. czcams.com/video/7i5XqDJLhoM/video.htmlsi=R4_UcNFJoGiL-zNg
