Ericson, thanks for a great comparison video. I own the AR3 plugin. Was considering the VSX. But after your video I'm comfortable staying with AR3. You make a huge point. It really depends on what you are mixing. For you, the VSX room is really important. Great example. As you said, both of these work really well. In the words of the Knights Templar in Indiana Jones, "Choose wisely". Cheers.

I was a sound Technition back in the 80's for prominent bands. Took on other jobs and now want to learn knew equipment as I'm about to retire and do sound reproduction for local bands.

The audio engineer is the most important person for the digital aspect, but the producer and the artist literally made the song, the engineer captures the sound and manipulates it but they don’t create it

Great video and great mix on the track! I just purchased the five Fusion modules during their November 2023 sale, and I was interested on your take on these plugins. Is there any reason why you placed the Transformer first in the chain as opposed to last like on the hardware? I believe the hardware is inserting an *output* transformer. I'm not criticizing, just curious. :o)

Hey man, this video was really welcoming and helpful. Ever since we got all that sudden free time when the pandemic hit, I've been learning to play the bass, guitar, and a little MIDI keyboard along with a Focusrite into Logic (very much pieced together, as you said!), so I can eventually cover Rush songs that I love and make little fanmade music videos. I don't have much experience with an actual physical mixing board aside from making on-air radio production in tech school, but I learned some about how to use Logic's amp designers and plugins over the past year, and now I spend ages trying to craft EQs and instrument tones to sound just right. Give me enough time and I can make my jazz bass sound almost like Geddy Lee's Wal! Would love to try a career or internship producing stuff someday.

I have played guitar for a long time and would love to record myself semi professionally I guess you could say. I have my guitars, a laptop , and very little cash flow. I am really want this for myself. Where do I start!
