The SDK mods were the best thing the aver happened to BL2. Now you can use multiple QoL and fix mods at the same time, even ad gameplay mechanics and everything on top of a total conversion for example.

Another tip that'll save you a lot of grief: -Put your guard up as you spawn. When entering a mission that's under way always press 1 to hold your melee weapon (or the button you got slaved to it) and then hold right mouse button (or what you slaved that one to) to hold the block as you spawn. This will have you not be bonked and downed the second you spawn as that is sometimes in range of enemies or you're even surrounded. Do this while still in the dropship animation and hold it and be ready to shove and move. But don't hold down the WASD-buttons because you also don't want to just step off a ledge. I've managed to save games this way. Once I spawned in a random Damnation game and shockingly the entire team was down already around me and my Zealot was fully surrounded by a horde of poxwalkers. I spawned, heard the block ping-sound multiple times and shoved a path partially free as I was stuck and couldn't even dodge or move. Then cut a path to the nearest fallen comrade and holding the block got them up, while the walkers kept hitting my block. Then we fought our way to the next teammate and the last one died before we got that far. But it meant we defeated the horde, later saved the dead player and finished the mission. All because I held the block as I spawned and was mentally prepared to fight the second I spawned. Yes in this case it helps to have extra stamina curios or skill tree nodes and also be a Zealot or better yet an Ogryn. But it's possible with any class. Another time I wasn't surrounded, but an enemy hit me from behind as I spawned hitting my block and I was on the edge of the smelter plateau end game map next to the "lava". If I'd have dodged or sidestepped as I started I would have plunged into instant death. However if you see a clear space move to it because movement is part of your defense and gives you a split second to get your bearings if there a chaotic fight going on around you.

A tip is that backstab is anything beyond straight on enemies so if you sidestep them a bit so you're on their side you get the bonus damage for a backstab (if you have the skill on the skill tree or the blessing on the weapon used). About that... you should always sidestep anyway and dodge and slide to be a harder target. Just beware that a horde encircling you partially will grab on to you and you can no longer dodge effectively. This is when you use the block and push combo to be released as they stagger backward. Note that crushers can't be effectively pushed by normal sized characters only Ogryns while a Mauler ( a large human but still human) can be pushed and even tripped in a heap. They get back up of course but you can usually deal with them while they do that. Also nearly every melee attack except grab-attacks like the demonspawn or Beast of Nurgle does does can be blocked. Some are very fast though and hard to block and to effectively block you need to have the stamina left for it.

About killed players leaving the game... When a player is downed but not dead you can press ALT+ F4 to break the connection. Your character is then replaced by a bot that isn't downed. Then the player can get back in again and resume the mission, usually. But not always. I guess if a human player has taken the place it won't work. This trick can help the team a lot in a difficult situation when no one can get you up anyway. The game used to allow you to add a free bot this way to help a lone survivor out of a pinch by doing this when you were dead too, but that no longer works, if you ALT + F4 out and get back in as dead you'll still be tied up in a corner somewhere when you get in, I think. At least when I tried this recently that's what happened. Or maybe it still works if you chose to "leave the game" properly, through the menu (esc + leave game), but you can't get back in again then. Experienced players do this to try to help out the team and often when you see more experienced players leaving the game in a crisis this is them sacrificing the 20-30 minutes of resource gathering for the survival of the rest of the team. Don't take it as an insult but the ultimate sacrifice to save the mission.

Does this mod still work? im getting fatal errors trying to load a save or exit to menu on new characters, weapons are also invisible

i cannot seem to get the F8 save thing to work. i click it but when i reload the game i doesnt work.

it can be strategic to leave after dying: if the team is struggling, especially due to nets or dogs, then providing a bot is better than just hanging out on your knees. if there's a decent chance that you'll be rescued then it's better to hang around but if it's going to be a team wipe then the first person to die should fall on the sword and allow themselves to be replaced by a bot.

I have installed it and I can't play without it ... I even stopped using Gibbed editor to modify my weapons anymore :D I have to save and quit after 3 times killing Hyperious , because there is so much loot on the ground I can barely see what is going on :D Also got Fwap Ahab with torgue grip and Exhaust on my first master Gee kill LOL

Ive been playing am few matches with this build and. I quite enjoy it I used to play electric staff with blaze sword but i also like the rapier one I got really lucky with the rapier rolls I can basically one shot every flak armor enemy's and 2 shot carapate armor enemy's I also got the blessing everytime I dodge an attack I get 20% damage for 6 seconds

is the community patch or this better… or should I play with both??

When you are the target of a Beast of Nurgle, try to keep it between you and your teammates. That gives them a clear shot with ranged weapons at the vulnerable spot on its back. Melee attackers will still have to deal with that tail though :/

Made a build you may want to try. All about crits on psyker using scriers gaze (if i remember the ability name correctly, its the one that constantly builds peril). I use an infernus recon lasgun and a combat knife that does bleed stacks on body hits and bleed stacks in crits. Find a horde, active ability, and watch everything die to all the dots youre putting on them. I can unload about 10 rounds into a mauler on damnation difficulty and he'll burn to death. If you want the exact talent setup, i have a video where i go over it on my channel. My videos aren't great but i like sharing builds.

How does this work with Multiplayer? Do all players need to have the mod installed or can you have your unmodded friends join you no problem?

Monstrosity ease of fighting (for me at least) 1. Plague Ogryn- Slow attacks, attacking makes it stop most of the time, no hard stuns or corruption damage 2. Beast of Nurgle- Even slower, but has area denial and the tail attack makes it a little harder to try and attack its weak spot in melee 3. Daemonhost- Rapid attacks, corruption, stun, usually kills one person on the team unless I'm with decent players, but can be pretty easily avoided assuming your team knows to avoid attacking it 4. Chaos Spawn- Fast, hard to hit weak point, doesn't stop to attack, grab is hard to dodge, stun does a ton of damage if your team isn't competent enough to help you

Weird that i find someone else with the same eclectic game choices. Found you through darktide, but i have a thousand hours in elite dangerous, Hunt is my game with my brother, have 700 hours there, been messing with helldiver's, and have probably 2k hours of slay the spire across pc/switch/phone. Haven't tried ghost recon, but it looks cool If you're looking for a fun challenge in elite, try learning FA Off. I saw a video by Isanona years ago and decided to give it a try, now it's the only way i fly. Anyway, thanks for the video.

I have a skill tree combo you may want to try out, it's for a Zealot Speedy Sprint/dodge Horde mower, not a great name maybe I can think of a shorter one. :) I use a Cadia mk13g Chainsword with it (Devastating Strike & Savage Sweep and also max Finesse as it affects attack speed) but any fast and agile weapon works really. Last few days it felt sluggish but today it sped up again so maybe something FS updated meant some parts of my skill tree or my weapon didn't activate before but do once again now. Any top skill tree build can be used but get these combined for the bottom end of it. Right bottom of tree: Swift Certainty Middle bottom of tree: Faithful Frenzy Martyrdom Maniac Left Bottom of tree: Punishment Masters Retribution These gel together and the trick is to always have sprint button pressed down during combat and constantly move forward, back and sideways as you fight. The bots then have a hard time hitting you. You'll be fast on your feet and it counts as dodging when you sprint due to Swift certainty (reduces damage but you still get some when you wade into a horde) and you're also uniterruptible. With these you are really fast with any fast weapon. Punishment is vital but Masters Retribution isn't. But it's fun that enemies get thrown off your back if they attack you from behind. It certainly helps if you're surrounded, which should still be avoided but it happens. I like using this with Fury of the Faithful to boost the speed even more with an additional 20% speed, but it's not necessary to work. If you do get that I like to slam right into masses of enemies almost like and Ogryn can and then start the Mowing, pushing into them, then as the initial shock of it subsides start going erraticaly in directions while cutting, you get a timing to it when you get used to it. But a few spammed extra swings with fast weapons isn't as critical as with the slower more powerful ones. As players get better at the game they can add blocks and pushes to this to really dominate enemies, even control and graduallly work through a horde. It's very satisfying, very 40K lore-esque to get to do this. Like what you read Space Marines do in the books´-especially with the Chainsword buzzing.

It's cool that you aim to recreate a Sister of Battle, I wish FS would actually sell a Sister of Battle Armor skin to use for this. As for flamers I used to run them a lot on my Zealot and it's still fun to run sometimes. You do get dependent on teammates picking off specials at a distance such as snipers but the flamer is very satisfying when the moments it's best for happen. The original super combo for flamers at launch was Blaze Away + Overpressure as the two fed and overlapped each other. For a while they nerfed overpressure but it may be viable again today. Worth trying out at least. :) I wish you success with making more tutorial & game explanation videos, there are some great content out there already but Darktide changes constantly and new players need to learn current meta if they want to get to the top of their game. It's a worthy goal.

Man I’m so pissed, CZcams hasn’t been recommending any of your stuff lately or other Darktide creators I like who have mixed stuff up (even though I’ve also been watching helldivers* 2 videos which other have made videos on). It’s good to hear you talk about your condition and be open about it, not enough people seem to talk about these sort of things and sometimes you can see it hurts them more… though I can understand sometimes some things are hard to express, it’s not just the pains of the body but the mind.
