Fun City Editions is a new boutique label focused on reissues of maverick repertory cinema and music that can best be described as works that exist "outside of their time." Spanning an array of genres, artists and countries, but with a unifying focus on forgotten and overlooked treasures, each Fun City release, be it a Blu-ray or vinyl LP, will present new restorations and comprehensive extras which contextualize and illuminate the artistic and historic value of the piece.

This tale of friendship and survival set during the days of the 1860s focuses on a roguish group of runaways living by their wits and natural instincts. Two of them in particular are complimentary opposites: Drew (Barry Brown, Daisy Miller) is a good boy from God-fearing stock in Ohio, out west to evade the draft. Jake (Jeff Bridges, Rancho Deluxe) is a scruffy scoundrel-a saddle tramp not above a little larceny here and there. Along the trail they encounter a variety of varmints and renegades. And eventually, they find themselves-older and wiser for the journey and friendship. Sensitively and realistically filmed.
Years before their famous pairing as the two Jeff Lebowskis in The Big Lebowski, Jeff Bridges and David Huddleston were adversaries in Robert Benton’s “acid western” Bad Company. Co-starring alongside Bridges, Huddleston and Brown are Jim Davis (TV’s Dallas), John Savage (The Deer Hunter), Jerry Houser (Slap Shot), Geoffrey Lewis (Thunderbolt and Lightfoot) and Ed Lauter (The Last American Hero). The screenplay is by Benton and David Newman, who earlier collaborated on Bonnie and Clyde. Shot on location in Kansas by famed cinematographer Gordon Willis (the Godfather films), the film has been restored in 4K from its original 35mm camera negative and comes to Blu-ray for the first time.

Do you know whats the actual name of this piece?
That must have been awkward for him. If I were an actor, I'd have a no nude scenes clause in my contract. I probably wouldn't get much work but oh well. Sarah Jessica Parker has one in her contracts which is why we saw her in her underwear in love scenes on SATC.

Trust me, this is worth seeing. The musical score, by the way, understated and superb. Gere is a genius. I can't think of any other actor who could have pulled this one off.

I cannot wrap my head around the strangeness of a feature film being made about the making of killer’s kiss. I need someone else to acknowledge how bizarre this is. Killer’s kiss is already so obscure, the idea of it getting the rko 281 treatment just confounds me
It's not quite that literal. This is not a biopic or a "strictly the facts" historical drama. Nobody in the film is actually playing Kubrick. It's a jumping off point to tell a story about how seriously a hungry filmmaker might take the production of a film, which most would consider just another simple, disposable B-picture.

I saw Jeremy at the cinema in 1973 I was just 15 years old. I watched it again today on CZcams. The final scene at the airport is heartbreaking. Susan's lovely sad face when the door is closed made me well up. Jeremy wanders home alone with the jet taking off in the background.
