Full Build of a Tiny Home Cabin
I documented the build process of my cabin in Costa Rica from beginning to end. We built the whole thing from bare land to finished house in three and a half months. I have never built a house before but I had a team of builders who helped me bring this concept to life. I love working with my hands so despite, or more like because, this was a lot of hard work, it was so so rewarding.

Smooth Skin While Maintaining Texture - Portrait Editing (2019)

I'm from South Africa, Houses here are built with concrete and bricks. This I guess makes me appreciate houses that have a strong foundation using strong materials. I always find myself questioning the longevity of houses that are built entirely of wood, like most houses in the States. Do they last that long, is wood really reliable??. (I'm no expert in building, this is entirely from my curiosity and I just love seeing people build stuff)
Why build on that slope? are you not concerned about soil erosion?

Just curious, what is your plan to help replace or sustain the nature area and ecosystem you destroyed? Everyone on the planet was impacted by your replacement of the natural habitat and trees from your building area despite your love for nature. Good job and thank you for the video, but you now should be thinking about how you’re going to really play catch up to the damage that was done to a rainforest area that was replaced. We all are impacted cost wise for our future in place of your gain. There is no reason why I should be martyred for bringing up an important thought for you which needs a good follow-up of your plan to offset the problem created.
I mean... Its about a 5x5 meter space... All vegetation that was removed in the initial cleaning minus the house foot print has grown back. If you live in a house you have the same impact on the natural environment. Most likely where you live used to be a forrest. Using you electronics to watch this plus the Yt servers have an environment impact. Have you offset it?
I have reduced my ecological footprint significantly in all areas. Last year, I lost a good friend who was crushed by a cattle truck. I learn all the time on how to work on the issue of being born into this world. I didn’t build a new home. The home was built in 2019 on a flat grassland, but my backyard is full of trees and lots of organic soil. I’m an expert in soil management and carbon sequestration. I would suggest for you to fund a Costa Rican Rainforest fund with the equivalency of planting 14 trees. This would eventually provide oxygen for yourself and allow for some extra for the damage from the processing and resource materials involved in your build. The 300 square feet area cleared would have been space for an existing ecosystem.

Beautiful and inspiring
It is a very beautiful construction but if you ever come to Costa Rica and plan on doing this, please hire a local achitect, we have a lot of earthquakes and this construction looks like it may not handle a big one, besides, for the heat that we get and all the rain, those materials will not perform to your money value on the long run.

This build blew my mind. I love the placement of the cabin, the modernist yet connected to nature approach. The team that you built it with really put a smile on my face and is really what drove me to subscribe. They seemed like a knowledgable crew that knew how to get the absoulte best out of limited supplies and not rip you off in the process, also the thought that you put into the sourcing and helping build this project really made sense. Drives me to make something like this in the future

Why would the access driveway not have been the first thing completed? Seems like a lot of extra work was caused by not doing that first, allowing the material to be delivered closer to the build site.
