This is probably my favorite scene of the movie.

To these natives thieves just stole their religious iconography and jumped into the ocean minutes afterwards a MASSIVE being rose out if said ocean and then the fire in the sky stopped. To them god just appeared

Not he biggest JJ Trek fan but this was a cool scene. Love Spock lecturing Kirk about the prime directive when the whole dang operation violates it! Considering they upscaled the 1701 to about the size of the 1701-D for these movies, that must have been an impressive sight for those aliens.

I still like the rainbow(ish) effect of TMP the best. It has the most attractive balance of colors and the long red strands are evocative of the red shift as the Enterprise speeds away from us.

Possibly my favourite thing is working out that SHOWXATING is the Lang Belta word for 'visual display' - if you take the XA pronunciation like in Catalan, it becomes literally 'show the thing' On top of everything else that was almost too good 😂😂😂

Mum always used to stick the VHS of this on during the Christmas holidays. This time of year always felt so wonderous and magical.

Best version by far. Even with all the present day films they do not compare. Thankyou. Dickens was brilliant!. I am sure he knew some greedy merchants. Maybe they should show this film to Corporate America, law makers, etc.

This cartoon was my introduction to the story. The other animated version with Alistair Sim is also great but this is my favourite telling of it.

Aired on Australian TV around Christmas time every year throughout the 70s and 80s. I recorded my copy in the mid-80s. Thanks for the upload! 👍

I watched all these shows,when I was 12, all the classics were shown under the Kenner classic tales show.

scrooge is the equivalent character of the grinch .

This is one of my favorite versions. I love it.

This version of Marley's ghost is great. It shows the tortured and tormented spirit bound with chains. The skeletal face made it eerie. Every Christmas this was a must see.

I love the james bond films...but this went a little to far fetched than normal..i think most of the 70s ones did come to think of it.

In the 1970s, a local TV station aired animated specials on Saturday afternoons. This was always one of them. I looked forward to watching every year. It brings back happy memories of times go by. Merry Christmas, 2013

Not epic, a copy of star trek 2 when the Enterprise came up from behind the Reliant (1982), but still classic

Hope Marley was eventually released from his punishment for warning Scrooge about the punishment that awaits if he dos not change his miserly ways and helping him to become a kind and generous person.

Imagine seeing this for the first time back then, must have been incredible!
