Welcome to Corby Q, I'm Corby and this is my little slice of CZcams dedicated to all things BBQ, smoked, cured, grilled, recipe replays and pretty much anything you eat I suppose. I live in Michigan and the weather doesn't always cooperate with BBQ but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Super proud husband to the worlds most patient wife LOL, father of 3 and grandfather of 2 and they love BBQ.
Cooking for others is my passion, but that being said I am by no means a professional chef and am always looking for ways to improve. Using a little bit from here, a bit from there and totally subjective and what works and tastes good to me and my family may not work or taste good to you your family.
That being said I am here to share, learn and most importantly have fun with food.

One Pan Chicken and Loaded Cauliflower | Keto and Carb Friendly
Here we go, here is a really easy weeknight night meal. Kato and Carb friendly one pan chicken and loaded cauliflower. Everything in one pan (duh) makes clean up super easy and quick for the nights you just want to make an easy meal.

@CorbyQ Good video on this product, I'm considering buying it but I noticed that the end of the auger was plastic I think, can you confirm? Also, it's been 6 years since you did this video, how has the grinder fared all these years, is it still working??? Thank you
@@trustworthyjane5243 I appreciate the comment and glad this video is helping at least one person. Lol. I believe the auger was metal I can't be 100% sure and check, I gave it to my father to use a while back.
@@CorbyQ Bought it gets delivered tomorrow! Now, before I actually bought it, I looked at some written reviews and some people were saying that before using were suppose to spray the parts with a food grade silicone spray? I didn't see you do that or say to do that in your video, do you know anything about that. Any info would be helpful. Thanks
@@trustworthyjane5243 funny you ask that. I didnt actually do the food silicone i figured i would be running enough fat thru it that it would be enough lubricant. I don't think it would hurt to use the extra silicone spray I think it's a personal preference TBH.
@@trustworthyjane5243 i did reach out to my dad and the auger itself is metal he said the gear might be a hard plastic but he uses it and hasnt had a problem
Any tips for cutting through the fridge sides (you mentioned the enamel was problematic)
Honestly I just kept powering thru with the hole saw which was probably not the best hole saw as quality goes. The drill bits didn't have a problem and I'm sure they make specialized jigsaw or maybe sawall blades formit i just didn't have access to it at the time.

I have used there Crack Pepper and Garlic summer sausage for years. Making 30 lb batches at a time. Last 2 years everything has changed. when mixing up everything, It used to turn the meat a darker color. and now its light, and taste like it very Bland ! Like not enough Seasoning. Have you had any of these problems. They wont talk with me when I called and complained.They always say we havent changed anything!!! BS.. I make over 200 lbs a year and give away. always make the same. They said they never changed. but I told them , maybe where you get there seasoning has. but they Get nasty at me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYMORE. STAY AWAY. not saying jerky mix or others. All I can promise Crack Pepper & Garlic Summer Sausage i not right any more. Cant afford to waste my time making it anymore....

Looks awesome!! I’m planning to do this , currently looking for fridge. What wattage element did you use? And is it working good or should it be bigger?
I do not know the wattage unfortunately. I took the element out of a old stand up smoker. Fridge works great for my family, I don’t cook for the neighbors out stinking like that. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
@@CorbyQ would you have done anything different looking back? How long to heat it up? I plan to smoke about 100LB of sausage, do you think your element would keep up?
@@justinvick1068 well I’ve done 2 briskets and 4 racks of ribs at once and it handles it. It heats up pretty quickly. I have a price inside that connect to my pid so it run the element as long as it needs to keep the temp inside at what I set. As far as anything different I would have made the smoke import pods longer so it puts the smoke in the middle. And possibly waited to do it till I had a full sheet of steel for the door instead of making it in pieces

Should be yellow mustard on the Chicago, never heard of doing it any other way but I guess spicy mustard might be an acceptable variant.
Do you put water pan in smoker for this?
I used to but I have found I don’t really need it and it takes forever to reach temp with the water pan, in my particular smoker but everyone’s are different. I would suggest trying it if you want the humidity out of your smoker runs hotter than you like. if you feel you don’t need it then there you go. Thanks for the question

You forgot the celery salt for the Chicago dog. But otherwise they look banging.
Funny part is they actually has celery salt on them but there was a major mishap let’s just say my cat jumped up and got into everything and it got left in the cutting room floor. You can kinda see her in the background in one of the shots but I had to save what I had left. Lolol.

you "mispeeled" the website. Also, why did you mount the smoker so high? and not as low as you can go to still operate it?
It is low on the inside of the fridge. The inside sits higher off the ground it’s only a couple inches from the bottom of the inside of the fridge

My instructions say not to mix the cure in a metal bowl. Did you notice any issues when you did yours that way?
No I didn’t notice any difference whatsoever in the least. If you’re uncomfortable with it I would recommend using some other non reactive bowl.

Helpful hint from a butcher, mix your seasonings and cure in a bowl to get them mixed well. Add your water to that, mix well, and pour over your meat. Then mix into the meat. Also, to keep from getting air pockets, at the beginning, run the grinder until the meat starts to come out, then put the casing right up against the nozzle.
