Excellent ,insightful review on the Ruger Redhawk! I have handled and shot both the Ruger Super Redhawk and Redhawk. Between the two, I prefer the looks, fit, feel and balance of the Redhawk. Ruger should offer an 8+ inch barrel for both the Super Redhawk and Redhawk. The 41 magnum is also an excellent hunting caliber in the Redhawk and Super Redhawk.Keep the awesome videos coming!

I can't see why someone can't talk Rossi into producing the 97. Sure, R92 sometimes has problems, but can be made to work flawless. Got all happy today when I learned I could get a Cimarron. Did a little search on the Cimarron and found tons of negative remarks on them. My daughter wants to get into CAS and Wild Bunch and needs a 97 to be able to participate in both styles.

I've had one I guess since they first came out and we could get them I have run thousands of rounds to it never ever had no problem with it it is a very reliable pistol and I have it for a combat pistol and I have several to choose from I like it I like the whole line

I found a 213A double-stack model at a local pawn shop. Used modeler's paint to make the star on the grips American---blue field, white star, red ball. Looks sharp.

I just picked up two original matching Vaqueros in .45LC at my local pawnshop. Same finish as yours and the grips looks like the ones on yours just birdhead. I can’t think of the barrel length right off the top of my head, but the barrel length matches the length of the ejector rod. Pairs really well with my Henry Big Boy in the same caliber 😁👍🏻

I just picked my 48-2 today and it was a blast. I have the .22 lr cylinder to go along with it, an older plastic clamshell case to go with it and nothing else original. The grips are square butt and oversized which I love because I put big grips on all my revolvers, unfortunately it also came with it's share of scratches and wear. Much to my surprise, the bluing has held up well after some initial cleaning with oil & steel wool. Thanks for sharing and the history lesson! I read whatever I could to piece together I could about this lesser known piece.

I have a Taurus M85 Titanium Ultra-lite Hammerless with a 2'' ported barrel. I bought it new in 2004. I did replace the original small Boot grip, with a slightly longer rosewood grip. I just wanted a pinky rest. it made a world of difference. with comfort an accuracy. it's not a target revolver but at 7 yard you can get a fist size group give or take if you do your part. What's also important is after 20 years and tons of rounds, the lock up is still tight, the bore is still bright, shiny, and the rifling is still defined like new, and it's never failed to go boom. People get upset about the safety lock, but I have never used it but one time, and that was the day I bought it. I locked it, then unlocked it and threw it back in the box and there's where it sits to this day. I paid around $220 it's worth every penny. It is 13.5 ounces of fury.

I have the Jimenez JA22 in black. Took about 500 rounds and polished the feed ramp to get it too run without stoppages. I think break-in for these 22LR pistols is a real thing. With the variations between 22LR rounds the action has to be as smooth and easy to cycle as possible. That's were breaking it in and keeping it clean comes into play.

I have several A5 I also have a "widowmaker" Winchester 1911SL Looking at my A5s, I prefer them I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. The only shotguns I've tried so far are 870 wingmaster.

I use a mandrel, of some type, inside the tube housing. Grip it with padded jaws in vise grips and tap it with a deadblow. You can use a socket that fits snuggly or turn some round stock down in the lathe.
