One of the funniest things to do with smoking ever made. I love how each of the trio react differently: Hammond drops it, Clarkson can’t get his to start so does something stupid, and May just gets in his element smoking his pipe in a comfy chair.

The cut from James' incredibly dry humour to Jeremy smoking a pipe backwards is the stuff of legends.

Don't know if anyone's noticed, but Richard never actually lights his pipe throughout this. The other two do, but he actually doesn't. In the first episode of the series this is from, he said that he had quit smoking.
My Nan was originally from Yorkshire She moved to Australia in her late teens from London. No detectable Yorkshire accent whatsoever. Shame because it's a great one. Great imitation of Cook.

I like how the pipe is foreign to Jeremy and he doesn't know how to use it, Richard is familiar with it but doesn't really like it, and James is an enthusiast who enjoys smoking a pipe and is quite comfortable with it.
i see the length of the " aaaahhh" has grown over time my main concern is he thinks its a trademark welcome to the "we hate jimmy carrs' laugh" club also i need an award for getting the aposrophe in the possessive poisition and i want a lollipop for knowing there was such a thing even though i made some basic errors
Damn right it's time to get over the anti-English sentiment in Ireland. I mean, really. It's been more than a century since gaining independence. Everyone who ever was dealt a bad hand by Englidh rule is long dead. And the Irish Republic has been prospering for at least 30 years if not longer. Irish national identity isn't so weak that it needs to maintain anger at the English just to distinguish itself, does it? I don't think so. Get a real cause to unite around. How about strengthenig the EU. Or maybe taking the leading role in ensuring peace and prosperity in Northern Ireland, now that Westminster has all but lost all interest in dealing with Stormont
