I’m learning Bharatnatyam and it is not easy to dance in saree, considering a working mom and full time mom, with hectic schedule not easy to do dance style saree every lesson therefore, our teacher kindly allowed us to practice in other traditional outfits and on occasions when we have to perform then dance saree (more like dhoti style) 😊

1st lesson is more like asking permission to the Lord and guru, later the lessons will be in traditional outfits - salwar suits or kurta leggings.

Every dance form has a particular dress to be worn.....it's not only about learning the footsteps...it's learning the steps with the costume.
