Hello Tasha, Love your name by the way 😊will you be sharing your summer ideas with your children with us? I’m a single mom of two beautiful girls and I work outside of my home 5 to 6 nights a week. I sent my girls to summer camp last year and they enjoyed it but it’s not cheap, I didn’t do any comparing prices with our summer camps because I was comfortable with the safety of their past camp. But I haven’t registered them yet this year but they have to do something and I don’t need my work schedule to keep them from having a fun summer because I need to rest after my night shift.

I plan on taking KD to the History and Science museum. They sent us free tickets when we attended a STEAM Fair at his school in April. The library is a great option and FREE!

One thing that people usually need clarified is the use of that word “fear”- it sounds so harsh. Well, that’s because this proverb wasn’t written in English. It was written in Hebrew, and the original Hebrew word cannot be 100% accurately translated in English. The word is ירא (yaRe) and it has two simultaneous meanings. One is fear, the other is to stand in reverence and respect. The language in the original text isn’t saying you should fear God like you do things like heights or spiders, but to “fear” him like you would a mighty lion or a great storm- to be weary of his immense strength but also respectful in reverent of it. The simple word fear in English doesn’t quite capture that aspect of the original. This is why it’s important to use a good annotated study Bible or, if possible, learn the original Hebrew and Greek the Bible was written in.
