I am headed to mayo for this procedure after much care and consideration. I was initially interested in HIFU or TULSA but the Dr thought with a couple calcium spots this would be a better option NYU just is the process of releasing data for the 3 recurrence rates that look to be over 97% cancer free. I guess with the new bright shiny objects being HIFU and TULSA Cryo is effective but not talked about as much with the new ultrasound ablations? I do know it got a bad rap when it was utilized for whole gland treatments. Dr David Woodrum will do my procedure and appearts to have a great deal of experience at mayo

In my opinion all Urologists should have this procedure performed on them to see how much it hurts .....

Great video it shows a similar test hopefully the needles will not be extra painfully it sounds really complicated my urologist does 5 to 8 a week having it done in the office is more convenient for past o 😢 no just getting it done

Do you have male assistants? Man doctor if not start thinking of your male patients who are afraid and ashamed to ask you for same gender teams. Many men will not go for treatment because of the fact that they do not want to be exposed in any way in front of females due to many reasons. If they do get treatment they are suffering on the inside so as not to look weak. Many men feel exposure to other women is an injustice and betrayal of their spouse. Women have no problem receiving all female staff and it is now time for men to be able to receive same gender staff if they so choose. Some men don't care but for those who do male staff should be readily available. Show us how exposed to female staff we really are. If we know and can tell you no we dont want this the better it will be. Men are ambushed and violated by female staff. The male part of this couple has endured humiliation, abuse and over exposure by female scrub techs, nurses and cnas. Also upset the female member of this team with the humiliating upsetting comments and blatant exposure.
