    I found out this reflex by my self when I tested VR Oculus Rift with fixed image(no tracking) - I see blurry image and can't keep my eyes fixed on the image during rotation my head. Very interesting. I've tested it trying control myself using 3rd person view vr. I've never got motion sickness - looks like I'm immune to it.

  • @muhammadsuhailsoomro6147

    you're mixing up the entire examination.You must go through step by step starting with inspection, palpation percussion and auscultation. You did inspection then palpation and went straight for auscultation and then went back to inspection.

    according to "neuroanatomy through clinical cases" second edition (chapeter 3, p.62) this is the so called oculocephalic maneuver for testing vestibulo ocular reflex (VOR). however, another way to test VOR is by means of caloric testing. the latter of course is often used in comatous patients to test their eye movements

    This video shows the wrong technique. First, you need to ensure that your patient doesn't have any cervical impairments or pain prior to performing the assessment. Second, you need to tilt the head down 30 degrees in order to be in line w/ the horizontal canals. Third, you need to randomize the head thrusts to prevent acclimation of the patient to the movements so you get a true response.

    • @Medicint20
      @Medicint20 Před 9 lety

      +hdburningblade First you find the right border by finding the upper border of the liver (yes, the liver) and the hepatocardial angle. You then find the left (diagonal) border.
