And I was wondering, can you listen to "Schoolhouse Trouble"? It's a song from Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered that uses a MIDI soundfont and I think you might like it

The Mitsuda lick was definitely intentional. A lot of people have mentioned the clear cut Touhou inspirations with the use of Zunpets even, but the intro piano is also lifted straight from the Chrono Trigger soundfont, and one of the examples of Mitsuda lick you showed, the very first one actually, is from Chrono Trigger as well, so Toby might be associating the Mitsuda lick with Chrono Trigger, and he was pretty intentionally homaging both Touhou and Chrono Trigger, so he thought the lick would give this theme more of that Chrono Trigger flavor.

You should do C-R-O-W-N-E-D Remastered by the Kirby franchise It's an amazing track (especially for the usual happy tone of kirby) and your reactions are great compared to other people where they just recognize leitmotifs and call it a day.

If you like this, you should have a listen to the overal vibe of the Pikmin 4 OST and then react to the Pikmin 4 final boss, the Ancient SireHound. Or just the optional boss Groovy Long Legs whose theme is baked into the game and not just a piece of music laid on top of the gameplay. They clash with what you'd usually associate with Pikmin and yet and it works so, so well when you've been following the story and in the case of the final boss especially, as the theme fits the character you're fighting more than the actual creature. Have a listen and you'll see what I mean, just know that the direction is a first for the Pikmin series.

The confusion of it being the final boss theme while Sealed Vessel also is the final boss theme is understandable. The reason for that is that the game has multiple endings. The Radiance and The Vessel are both final bosses depending on which ending you're going for.

Yes. We need Davi playing the Blasphemous duology in his gaming channel. One thing about the osts of Blasphemous 1 and 2 is that, in a vacuum, they don't sound like game soundtracks at all. To me, they sound more like the soundtracks to cultural documentaries about the dark era of the Spanish Inquisition. You cannot say it's not "Spanish". It's the essence of the Iberic music.
