That double sui*** looks kinda sus. (My theory) Himekawa's father died when he was 5 so it was 15 years ago(as mentioned by himekawa in the last episode that he just turned 20). But Ai died 12 years ago. Also Aqua and Ruby's blonde hair is from their father. So, my theory is that Airi himekawa had a relationship with another man along with her husband. And himekawa is that man's son with Airi (his black hair is probably from mother's genes) and also that man made a relationship with Ai which resulted in the birth of Aqua and Ruby. So it's possible that their father is another man who is alive and safe right now. It's just my assumption, let's see what happens.

I haven’t read the manga but I’d say this, to me it doesn’t make any sense: if what Himekawa said is true, that is that this Uehara (his father and Aqua’s supposed father) killed himself when he was 5 years old, it would mean that Aqua was only 2 at best, but we know that when Ai was killed Aqua and Ruby were almost 4 and by then Uehara would have been dead for a year or more, but Ai called her babies father just a couple days before her death, so they MUST be two different people… Of course there’s also the chance that Himekawa is misremembering and I could be HORRIBLY wrong and it was really him, but that’s how I feel… If it really was him I’d be really happy for Aqua, because he wouldn’t be haunted by his past anymore, but discovering that the dad was such a “mediocre” guy and that he died this way would be quite anticlimactic…

6:02 You know what I have just realized? This might be me overthinking it a bit. But to me, having watched the whole anime a bunch of times, it would seem like the OST in these first episodes is very "lacking" in instruments. Not in a bad sense, I mean like at times it would seem like there are instruments missing in the sound, that as the episodes go on and new people join in like Nishinoya here, they add as well to the OST. Am I crazy? That would be an insane detail if so. I compare this to episode 3 for instance, go look the video from this reaction channel, at about 8 minutes, you have the same ost, but its missing some violins in comparisson, right?

In this prefecture the tournament is single elimination, that's why it was such a big deal for Asahi to have lost, one match lost means they don't get to go to nationals that year, it's a lot if you think it's just your fault

10:11 Kageyama may be self-righteous, but as you'll find out, this anime is about learning and growth, and Kageyama to a degree has learned this lesson that you can't win alone 12:30 so in volleyball, there are 6 players on the court, 7 players who consistently rotate on: 1 setter, 2 middle blockers who stand opposite of each other and rotate off after their serve rally is done, 2 outside hitters and 1 opposite hitter (these 3 are called wing spikers in this show), and 1 libero who subs in when the middle blockers sub out. Hinata's primary use is as a decoy, a middle blockers, so he would lure blockers over so the other spikers (hopefully Asahi) can spike without worrying about a block too much. In other words, you might have 4 or 5 spikers attacking at the same time, even as decoys. So there's plenty of room for Hinata and Asahi to be on as attackers at the same time, as well as Tanaka, Daichi, and Tsukki
