At 9:43 why did Milne and Nimmo have a t shirt over their tri suits?
Rather than just discarding the old tube, you can check it for the puncture, and confirm both location on the rim/tire, helping you to find what caused it, AND, save you a lot of time if it is actually a snakebite pinch puncture, or spokes poking through/damaged rim tape etc.

It would be great to receive information on the elevation profile for the Standard Distance bike and run courses? I’m wondering if it may be a bit naive to assume it’s all flat because it’s next to the sea. I live on the coast in Fife and the roads inland from here are uphill.
Hi Sandy, there will be a short climb from the seafront up to the 183 of about 100 metres, but it’s not too steep. Once up there, Roker is fairly flat with any climbs being very gradual, and then an easy decline through Roker Park to the beach.

What’s the logic in having a bigger gap for B2 & B3 women to make up compared to the B2 & B3 men? Shouldn’t the gap be the same?
Because the B1 Women, on average, take longer to complete the race than an equivalent performance from a B1 Man - in a similar manner the offsets / adjustment for the women needs to be longer (current 2:46 / 3:19 respectively). Hope that helps!
@@johnlevison6988 thanks but don’t the B2/B3 women take longer on average than the B2/B3 men also? Yet they are expected to be able to achieve more than their male counter parts
@@lucycrowhurst5514 If you think of it this way - let's say that an 'equivalent' B1 time for men and women was say, 1 hour, and 1 hour and 10 mins respectively. If you have the B2/B3 men and women with the same (absolute) offset time - e.g. 2:46 that it currently is for the men - then the B2/B3 men have 60 minutes to try and catch-up, but the B2/B3 women have 70 minutes to close down exactly the same time. In that example, the 'rate at which the men need to catch' would be faster than the women, as they only have 60 minutes to close the same gap. Thus, all other things being equal, the B2/B3 women's offset time being slightly longer, does make sense. Massive congrats to Katie on her results - I've been following closely, as I've been the on-site commentator at four of her races so far (2x Eton, Commonwealth Games, Swansea) - she's doing fantastically, and I'm sure much more to come in the future!
