That’s the best way to describe it, but some of them are bracketed, and I taught it to myself after finally completing fallout three after all these yearsright now I’m on the steel DLC the broken steel one are used to just randomly get the terminal and log back in the terminal

Shotguns and the pipe-revolver are also valid options for such a run. 44 Ammo starts to spawn after...err, i think level 12 on vendors. The minutemen outfit does not really fit, help abernathy and then trade in his farmhand clothing, fits better to a western outfit and can even be upgradet with ballistic weave later.

Double barrel shotguns are also cowboy. Also combat knives!

Both Fayden and Pope look like they have chewing tobacco in their mouths when they talk. Just a touch unsettling.

To make the beginning a touch easier, a pipe revolver using .45 can be put together almost immediately which is a nice western styled piece to smooth the transition to the .44 revolver. Still very western themed. Also I personally consider the double barrel shotgun, which is a staple of many western movies, a viable option in place of the lever action rifle.
