No one really knows what God's name is. They should not assume the vowels to make up the name YEHWEH. They should just use YHWH because this is what is in the Hebrew text. They should also use Adonai, and Elohim in the LSB. Hopefully in version 2 these will be implemented.

Thank you Tim for your explanation of the NIV. I had been a little bit skeptical of the NIV in the past because of other people's comments on it but I'm starting to feel more comfortable with it now. I was gifted an NIV in 2005, it was the Rainbow NIV and I have not really taken the time to really dig into it. But now after watching your video I feel that I need to give it a chance. My Bible translation of choice is the CSB after having come from the HCSB. I think both are good and thorough translations; however my Study Bible of choice is the CSB Study Bible--it outtrips even the MacArthur Study Bible, I think.

Oxford still publishes the New Oxford Annotated Bible in RSV with Apocrypha. Catalog no 8914A for leather bound - there is a hardback, as well.

The NASB is not better because it does not contain all 73 books of the Bible; the ESV does.

The Democrats are accused to kill babies by allowing the women to have an abortion, which they describe the event with horrific descriptions that make anyone who hears them , disgusted and angry, but they should not be so, let me explain. The procedures that I heard of how an abortion is done should be illegal, the doctors doing them like that should not be allowed by the hospital to perform them, they should be done if the fetus is in an advanced state according to the law allowed of growth , as a cesarean section,under anesthesia ,a small size cut that can allow the obstetrician to remove it whole, not in pieces! Although preferably the girl or woman should see the doctor soon after the rape or sexual abuse, when the sperm has yet to enter the ovum and give a complete scraping and cleansing through the vagina, reaching the uterus walls and removing all the Sperms and ovum.( If it was there ). So no pregnancy had happened! By the way, according to my Bible, in Genesis 2:7 it says that life is given by God when He breathes into the nostrils ( of the fetus) the breath of LIFE and then he becomes a living being! So, before , in the placenta he was fed true the mothers attached tube,not by himself, and later, when the fetus is delivered, and spanked if he is not crying , to make sure that his lungs open and can start breathing by himself, then God ,the giver of life makes him breathe and BECOMES a living being! Did you get that? He was not before but became later a human being! If that fetus at his coming out of his mother, and the tube is cut if the fetus doesn’t start breathing ,no matter what they do to him to start the lungs functioning, the baby will not live.😭😭😭 When we are born and when we die , the first and last breath are Gods! HE IS IN CONTROL!

The NASB is my favorite translation. I agree that there are others for example the ESV translation that is easier to read. I would warn all readers of the Bible to be careful with wanting the text to be comfortable. It is a double edged sword, inspired by the Lord God and written by and to a Hebrew/greek speaking people. It would help you to go deeper in your studies by reading the text from that perspective as much as possible. Trust the scripture to reveal itself to you. It is God’s will for you to receive understanding in order to grow closer to Him! In other words, uncomfortable is exactly how your flesh should feel when approaching a sword. ❤ God bless you all! ❤

Is there a bible translation you would recommend for teens? I own multiple translations I use to compare and study but I am not sure what would be best for my kids. I am learning towards, ESV, NIV and NLT.. any thoughts would be great.

Hi Tim. You can also keep a blank piece of (good) white paper in your bible (cut down to slightly smaller than the pages , but still big enough to 'cover' all the printed area) and slip it behind the page you are reading. It almost does away with any ghosting on cheaper bible paper.

The truth is that Jesus Christ is the ONLY BEGOTTEN son by G0D. Jesus had a direct Father and it is YHWH.
