If you want a clone, do it right. Leave off the Z-28 badging, and just do the Cowl Induction hood, front and rear spoilers, and the rally wheels. As soon as you put a Z-28 emblem on it, you're posing. I did exactly as I suggested, because I wanted it to be clear that I wasn't passing my car off as anything other than a nice street rod.

Much like police interceptors, the dead giveaway are the plain black wheels and the center cover hub caps...

I'd recommend synching the carbs so they both open at the same time to prevent uneven front to rear mixture.

It's good to see you didn't just throw an Edelcrap on there and call it good. These SBCs are super easy to work on if the mechanic isn't just an OBDII parts changer.

Cool!! I bought a 74 in 75, then drove it down from WI to TX in 76. All white with a set of Armstrong's on white spoker wheels. I threw my homemade wooden boat up top and gassed her up. Through Oklahoma much of the road had fresh blacktop, and was at least 100 degrees out, with lots of vehicles pulled over with tires coming apart. Big Rig retreads were all over the road. My floorboards were so hot that I blistered my foot on the tunnel. I made a cruise control stick and wedged it from my seat to the pedal. Stopped to jump in a river or two, and made it to Texas just fine. Was a real good truck that I'll never forget. Might have to get me another one of them Scouts if I can. Nice Job!!

do not put ccp communist chineses bearings in there you will have to replace them they frequently fit wrong on the axle when pressed on and wear out fast the same applys to leaf spings cheap steel can break and when they break in front of the axle good luck trying not to flip the car go cheep on the leaf spring springs good luck
