This song is still weird to listen to. It came out when I was seperating myself from my ex that lived with me for 13 years. It was not easy, but it was necessary. He obviously didn't care and his family either. I know Mariah had issues at that time with James Packer and I guess this song is about him... So these words were fitting. Thanks again, Mariah, for being there in a difficult situation for me!! I will always love you like a big sister!! She has wrote a lot of songs that have helped me in the past...
