I don’t understand why an actor has to come out?!! It’s no one’s business man !!
it is important. he clearly states it in the video, i’d suggest you to listen to his words. coming out maybe seem like no one’s business, but when you have such a large fanbase, it can be lifesaving for some. as i said, he literally talks about how important it could’ve been to him to see people coming out and talking about LGBT+ issues. obviously this doesn’t mean that every famous person should come out, but that if they do, people will look up to them, and they’ll feel seen and heard and loved.

Great actor and sounds like a great person. These days I think a problem with that community is they seem to have turned on anyone who's not a part of it as if someone who's not part of that community can't go through those same struggles growing up. All these labels they have smacked on people have just built a wall between them and created even more separation. Let me tell you, people don't have to be gay or any other form of the LGBT community or be some specific race, or anything different to feel like Wentworth did growing up. Compassion should be for all people and back when he gave this speech I think the broader message was that, today, it has changed.

When I knew I was gay, I thought of killing myself.
This is the first time that someones speech has genuinely moved me to tears. There are so many celebrities who give "heart-wrenching" speeches, but they sound rehearsed, fabricated even. They sound like a cry for attention or just what they think people want to hear. This speech, felt so authentic and so real that I actually cried and for a moment, i didn't feel alone.
