The reason for the “lack of energy” was because the stage was smaller than we had thought so It was hard to dance how we originally would. We had to dance with a little less energy since we would hit each other during the dance.

Tell me, who decides what the traditional melodies sound like? Every part of every province has its own style, and that evolves over time. And it has to stay that way, not a clichéd unity that never existed.

​@@456inthemix In response to "cliched unity". There is an underlying "Tibetic" culture distinct from chinese or indian. Indians and chinese diaspora have their own separate ethnic subgroups. For example Tamil or Bengali can be considered an "Indic/Indian" subgroup. Or Hakka from guangdong and Gan from Jiangxi are subgroups of "Chinese/Han". Just like that Tibetic is a group which consists of kham, amdo, utsang, denzong, druk, etc, etc... Other examples of groups such as germanic consisting of saxons, bavarians, alemanni of swiss and liechtenstein, lombards of italy, etc.. And slavic groups such as poles, ukranians, russians, croats, etc.. Like every neighbors in the world do, we also get some influences from indic and han cultures (and so did they get influenced from us). And it's cool to use these influences, mix it with tibetic music, own it, and use it in local gorshey or in your car, but this was a showcase of the tibetic culture and it would've been better if the music had more authentic tibetic melody. Even though the vocals are from eastern tibet the melody/instruments remind me of the chinese opera (making it a fusion) especially the ending. But props to the tibetic youth of toronto for displaying this beautiful dance competently and enthusiastically. Other canadians can at least humanize and take notice of our culture. Also, you guys have the courage to take the initiative, and also enough love for wanting to present our culture to the world. Choice of music can be easily improved unlike courage and love.

@@Kim-m2z Chinese sounding music is much more louder than singing words in Tibetan language. I think you need to see ear doctors immediately.
