Here is an excerpt from one of MY theological papers on the Protoevangelium during my seminary training to prepare for ordination as an Eastern Orthodox deacon. ** "The conception of St. Anna (also spelled Anne or Hannah), the mother of the Virgin Mary, is an important event in Eastern Orthodox Christian tradition. This narrative is primarily derived from the Protoevangelium of James, a second-century apocryphal text, which although not part of the canonical scriptures, holds significant influence in the development of Christian tradition and doctrine, especially regarding the early life of the Virgin Mary. It is permissible to read The Protoevangelium of James in private, meaning, it is not a book read during the Divine Liturgy, BUT it is spiritually beneficial as a contemplation on the Gospels. As with many apocryphal books, there are difficult passages, but the Orthodox Church has retained clearly in her vespers-matins service stichera and canons, the essential truths contained in the book. We cannot summarily dismiss the Protoevangelium on the grounds of its ‘non-canonical’ status because the church retains the Book within its Holy Tradition and liturgical expression. Rather, we acknowledge its contribution to Holy Tradition by retaining the perspective of the first century communities who were themselves witnesses to these events, and would have dismissed the book if it were fictional, rather than propagate its distribution. EXPERIENCE the Vigils of the Conception of Anna (Dec 9th), then the Birth of the Virgin Mary (Sept 8) ,and then the Presentation into the Temple (Nov 21) to get the complete theological treatment of these events.

this is not christian doctrine /teaching the bible says nothing about you dying and entering a spirit world.

when you die there is no consciousness that's why Jesus and the apostles compared death to sleep. death is like dreamless sleep. what leaves your body is your breath which the bible and Jesus describes as the spirit. eg. "father into your hands I commit my spirit/breath." your breath is not conscious by itself. it's hard for humans to accept that there is a definite end so people have come up with the immortal soul philosophy and casper the friendly ghost/ spirit world etc.

How long did it take for u to get berries? I bought seeds three years ago germinated them kept these plant alive thru 2 winters and burning my plant from the heat from the hot summers now they are up against the house it gets half shade half sun. I use miracle grow every week I want to put them in the ground but will I ever get berries? 😢
