Many might've been disappointed that this wasn't the series finale... but the song WAYWARD SON always foreshadowed their final destination...

Leaving Sam and Dean to venture out and create their own story. Whatever their story may be is left up to the audience. I prefer this ending over the actual ending.

Worst thing this show ever did was kill of Ragnar far, far too soon.

This was the best way to leave the show. It just felt right for Sam and Dean to keep driving towards danger and facing each new threat together.

This is how it should of ended.. would of been perfect and we could of made our own ending for them and if they decided to bring it back it would of been left open.. the episode after this was unnecessary and ruined it all for me.. love my boys ❤️

I believe that both endings were needed. I would be happy if this is where everything ended but the last episode gives us a kind of closure. We know how their story ended, and that both died and lived the way they wanted. That way we can be sure that they finally found peace.

I can't believe it has already been 3 years since Supernatural ended (although when it comes to Supernatural, nothing every REALLY ends). I still hope every day that it will come back.

The best series ever, I keep watching it over and over! But honestly Dean didn’t have to die, I like to think that this is the last episode to me! The perfect ending ✍️

One aspect that’s great about this ending is that they didn’t use Wayward Son. Using a different song shows that they had finally escaped Chuck’s control and were free to decide a new fate instead of being stuck in the same cycle of pain and death.

It always felt to me like 15x19 was the real final finale while 15x20 was more of a episode-long-epilogue, which is a perfect way to do it!
