The wax shine, everyone knows how to use it, the process, it all adds up to an involvement and experience friends can talk about. Ceramic, do once and forget. There is no experience in that. Plus, just try to get it off, or pay someone for that. Yeah. Wax on, wax off. Plus its basically natural and enviro friendly. Its mostly just wax.

weird answers, wax is the best way to preserve paint, bar none. many tests have been conducted on this.

You need to be an painter to understand wax because wax is nothing more than a cleaner, nothing else, people kill me when they say that’s baby has a good coat of wax, look at it bead, has no wax on it, you buffed it off, as you where rubbing it on you where taking off oxidation, removing dead paint actually or clear and that paint just like a new painted car will bead water, the wax has cleaners in it for doing that, one wax might clean it easier but basically doing the same thing

I've only just discovered these, had to import them to the UK as they don't have a UK distributor. Only done one rinseless wash with them so far but it was amazing... they are the best rinseless wash media for me.

Let me know when your ceramic coating “wears” out and it is time to take it off (sanded off) to apply a new coat. Let me know how much it costs and how long it takes for the prep? You will erode your clear coat if you intend to keep your car a long time. Wax as a base coat and the New Wax and Sealant “Spray Ons” during maintenance washes will last a long time and go a long way.

If you have some scratches already is it dumb to ceramic goat it over this scratches?

Could you do a comparison on a panel that has wax on one side and a ceramic coating on the other. Test for durability, protection against stuff like bird droppings and hydrophobic properties. I have no doubt that ceramic coatings are easier to apply and have more durability than wax but wax is more forgiving and the temporary nature lets me correct any mistakes. I don’t have covered, dust free parking nor the tools to do the prep work needed for a ceramic coating. My only option is to get it done professionally which costs a LOT more than me applying a coat of wax myself. The durability of the ceramic coating that I got done didn’t seem worth the cost. They told me itd last only a few washes and I should only dust the car instead. My view now is that a layer of relatively cheap wax that I can always reapply is less stressful than a ‘protection’ coat that I have to delicately care for

Any idea on the longevity of the Adams Graphene Ceramic coating? I did the entire process including fallout remover, clay bar, orbital polish, wash with strip wash, rinse and wipe down with isopropyl alcohol and again with their pre-treatment. Coating lasted maybe 6 months - 9 months on the majority of the vehicle. Box sides and tail gate of F-450 maintained hydrophobic properties longer than doors, front, etc. Prep on the truck took my about 20 hours in total. Ceramic took about an hour. I did my wife's car in the same manner and it last about the same. This is supposedly a 7+ year 10H coating - what could I have done wrong? Strip wash and alcohol should have been a perfect base for coating?

The Toyota dealer applied a ceramic coating to our 2022 Camry before we purchased it. I have noticed the windshield has a slight orange peel distortion right there in my line of sight. Is there a way to remove the coating from the windshield...I'm assuming it is the ceramic coating causing the problem?

What does the ceramic coating actually do? Is a layer or protection like screen protector on a phone screen or it's just a permanent kind of wax. Is it really a protection or cosmetic?

I’ve been coating cars for about 5 years and after a while , especially now, after I apply a coating I suffer the next day. Shortness of breath etc. I just thought it smelled really bad.

Not only does it look better, but like you said, it STICKS to the paint and dirt on the paint, so when you wash it off, it pulls it off with it. They both work but I do like the thick foam 😅

Absolutely. So many people ask me well I heard it most of the time does not last longer than a year. It all depends on prep. It takes me sometimes 3 hours to 7 hours just on prep. Depends on how bad and if they have lots of scratches. So far I get good results with most but I would like to try ROAR as other retailers told me they have good success with that.

Hey mark I have ioniq 6 matte and my wife drove thru paint, it sprayed the car .. do you have or know something I can use to remove the paint drops form it?!!thxzz

I did foam wash, hand wash, clay bar, wash again, iron x, rinse, blow dry, then surface prep spray, and even alcohol spray for prep...took a week to do. Then used Nanobond coating and it failed in one month with car sitting outside Houston, Texas weather - hot days, cold days, rainy days with dirty, dust, pollen and one or two bird droppings which i wiped off when I saw any. Nanobond was purchased based on amazon and YT reviews and it failed after less than two months. Close inspection showed spotting and eating through of the micron thick coating. Now the car must be polished to remove the eaten away coating and another brand coating will be applied.

How to get the answer ..12"×12" glass wear gloves wash & prep ..coatings will vary in cure time & some will never cure & some will cure with dust since dust in 24 to 48hr period is noticeable removing some spots on first wash..you wouldn't want to spray 2k clearcoat with a tach time of 24hrs..now just using plain paste wax dust does not stick..light duster or air blows dust off ..ceramic products will get dry & gritty after 30 days needing a wax or topper ..if your going to wax anyway why mess with ceramic

Firm believer in F-11. Really don't understand the water beading test. Drive truck in rain then wash truck and apply a quick coat of F-11. I can apply F-11 so quickly and the shine is awesome.
