A recap of New Zealand Māori politics in 2015
Let's start our review with politics.
Bit boring - that could've been 2015 in politics, even two years out from a general election.
But it kicked off with a party for the who's who of all parties and quickly it was Māori who were making things interesting.
Reporter Yvonne Tahana takes a look back at the year that was politics.

This is so beautiful to see as a Maori Indian Kiwi fella.

Too many Maori whanau abused by this pakeha justice system . Aroha kia koe.
...dealt??? MPs of the NZ parliament Stated on Nation television that they do not have a written constitution, so where does that leave Te Puni Kokiti who were mandated by that parliament???
One of our trusts borrowed $200,000 to build a Sub-division piping, streets etc. and Te Puni Kokiti wanted that money back, we went to court, this is what we said to the judge, "The $200,000 the trust borrowed came from the Māori Affairs housing fund, which is Māori money". 4 weeks later the trust was ordered to Wellington where the Māori Trustee (Tumu Paeroa) wiped the dealt so what are you doing with that fund????
Churr ma tamatoko thanks for your entertaining talents, inspirational stories and for your educational ways to promote your true POWER LOVE...CHUR KMPARAHA out.
Labour lost the leadership grip & tightness after 2008 they went all woke the woke lot are waking the dead with their rhetoric with inefective decision making and divisiness causing pit wars with each other. I miss the old left 😪 hope and pray for more unity.
May I please suggest translation to English on screen I would like to know what he's saying about Kingitanga is he angry with them?
Its all changed now its 2024 citizenship is a lot easier which allows access to services
So his hat represents a white man's war that's oppressed him and racially profiled him. Doesn't make sense unless he's a clown hypocrite?
Hide his bald head. I think the muttonbird feather undies he wears on his head is better.
Tainui need to be doing more for our people. We need our own land. A place we can all call ours. We got nothing. Zero

Love the subtitles from 9 years ago, we should bring these back to modern-day maori tv to try and lessen the cultural divide between maori and pakeha
Landless in a multiply owned land system, who dreamed that system up, ownership in accordance with tikanga, is keystone, only landlocked when Maori learned how to write, and some worked alongside kawana to solve disputes after the signing o nga triti, magistrates and missionaries, came and went at least in the North. Its a miracle wonder we still have land to liveon, maybe not for long, learn from your hitori, it is important, the answers are there😢
Tikanga doesnt include queen street farmers😅
❤🎉Kia kaha
Every kiwi knows the rules.
Cut off at the end 😂

Why do so many kiwis who come here so young don't apply for citizenship at 18......problem solved.
Maori
We didn’t need to prove citizenship.
So willie knows more than most people think.
Andrew Judd is my pick for Prime Minister. He has Publicly confessed his erring ways. You are one in a Billion Anaru. Tena rawa-atu koe me to whanau, atu ki to Iwi.
ngai tahu stole it their ancestral lands were only theirs because they slaughtered all the original people. They sold their " ancestral lands "less than 30years after they had killed everybody there = The sale of westland. Most ngai tahu had no idea where it could be found and Ian Boustridge proved it in court. Hats off to Ngai tahu for being quick to follow the actions of the colonial govt and playing that game but to say their lands are ancestral is rubbish. they were from the east coast and were kicked out and went down to the wairau bar and began slaughtering the waitaha and ngati mamoe. Because of those actions and subsequently coming over the brownings pass and killing the original people who had been guardians for hundreds of years NZ lost a precious history. Ngai tahu are thieves like the colonial govt were thieves.
Tautoko Matua @Andrew Judd
Comes across as very entitled considering what she did 😶
I cant believe this guy played Smiley in the movie Training Day.
Similar ways in a Traditional Mexican American family as we grew up with my Father. He was the same way, very tough on us. Even though he did love us all, he was like this mean with us when we were kids, especially me, I was the oldest. But I learned alot from my Dad. I vowed that I would never be like that to my love partners or family. I catch myself sometimes when I begin to react like my father. I been okay lately. My father passed away 3 years ago coming up on September. I still love him very much and miss him. I was also bullied alot. But my Dad taught me to stand up for myself and told me that if I got into a fight he would always back me up cause he knew I was a good kid. Once I beat this bully with a metal chair and he ended up in the hospital. The police came to arrest me and my Dad told them to call our attorney. I was just a kid. Ended up taking a plea deal and getting suspended for 2 months from school. I stayed behind in the 7th grade because of a bully. He never bothered me again, but I also had a hard time making friends throughout my school years
These maori families collect all the money and us maoris fk off to aus to make money these clowns don't give af about us
You have the most beautiful whenua and Moana, create create for your iwi, I love this.

Matauranga Maori is the Koha imbued by means of Te Wairua Tapu. Whakamoemititia Te INGOA O IHU KARAITI. BLESSED ARE WE.

Your hands been in the till far too long, your cuzzy Mahuta’s also multi millionaires from all this bullshit rhetoric.
