Shadow in the Jungle | Horror Short Film
Shadow in the Jungle
A short film based on the novella "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad.
There are many obvious "Adventure movie" tropes purposely, placed throughout the short film. Drawing inspiration from Indiana Jones, Apocalypse Now and The Lost City of Z to name a few.
Inspired by Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness." Delving deep into the human psyche, we explore themes of obsession and madness through our cinematic lens.
With meticulous attention to detail, we construct a dense jungle environment, evoking the landscapes of Conrad's work. Through deliberate framing and selective imagery, we guide you through this immersive world, revealing only what we want you to see.
Despite limited resources, our crew of two remained committed to bringing this vision to life. Each shot was carefully composed to contribute to our exploration of the human condition. While a larger crew may have enhanced production value, we embraced the solitude of our endeavor, immersing ourselves in the isolation of the jungle.
Join us as we navigate the depths of the human psyche, challenging perceptions and igniting understanding of the forces that drive us to madness.

What comes with the autumn bend When summer is at an end And all the wicked dreams are clear In a red sunset the dark is yet upon us And in its grip, got us Somewhere alone in fear What comes when the leaves fall again The light is gone again You worry too much Why does it even matter How does it matter … what is the matter, dear Why does it come Now that I see its face The old, cold embrace Th...
“Shadow in the Jungle” | Gripping Short Film Introduction

The jungle, with its whispers carried by the breeze and the ominous rustling of leaves, played games with our perceptions. It reveled in our vulnerability, forcing us to confront the blurred line between reason and the abyss. As I sit in this unfathomable darkness, etching these cryptic reflections upon parchment by the faint glow of an uncertain campfire, I question whether the jungle has alre...

ЧТО ЭТО?
короткометражный фильм.
So what is this exactly then? A man and a woman going bat-shit crazy inside a dark house, deep within the lonely mountains? Great writing, but I don't quite understand the meaning of the plot as a whole...
On the surface, that’s exactly what it is. A lot is left unsaid due to how short it is. And now it’s just left for interpretation. I really appreciate you taking a watch! As well as commenting!
@@thereisawolf Okay, that makes sense. At least Im glad to know that Im not just dense...Lol! Thanks likewise for the response and good luck in your pursuits. Im an artist and writer also and it never goes wrong to support and follow aspiring artist.

Thank you so much! I’m aiming for that haha!
is Dehancer really that heavy?
I think I made it feel way more intense than it is! Its the sound effects haha. It’s very simple to use and easy on the computer (at least with the projects I’ve been working on). Also, my computer isn’t anything special… I wouldn’t call it heavy at all.
@@thereisawolf ah, good to know. i try to download the free trial and the pdf it came with recommended an RTX (which i do not have). so i hesitant to try it. thank you for the reply
@@rafinozalia Absolutely!
@dehancer look at this masterpiece!
You’re too sweet 🙏
Looks good. I'm tempted to try on my videos. I also use the BMPCC OG and 4K and the results online look very nice.
Check out their website, they offer a free trial! You can see if you like it. Pairing with the 4k would be beautiful! I love the look on the OG though ;)
Wow! Extraordinary! Dehancer needs to share this video.
Thank you man! 🙏
