BTW "Thank Your Father" is a particular favorite of mine - one of those great songs too many have forgotten, but not us. If you haven't heard the lyrics, they're very cute. Search "[title] 1930" to find several nice recordings - I couldn't pick just one (and CZcams eats links anyway).

0:00 Chicago Tribune March. I recently saw a video that showed the back of the organ when it was open and i finally got to see inside it!, it has a lot of pipes and the reed rank are saxophones, fitted with a duplex roll player but now usung midi.

It still needs tuning. When I went there back in may of 2024 on the last day I was there this organ was playing.

Does not sound good in 2024 its sounds way better😐

I went there may 17-19 and I got to see this organ. And did you know if you go to the screen door on the right you can get a good video of the bass drum

So happy to see this little Bruder finally playing in a spot where it'll be appreciated, along with its cousin!! Can't wait to see both of these 79s whenever I'm there next week.

The second and third tunes are "Marching Through Georgia" and "Yankee Doodle".

This organ is supposedly a Wilhelm Bruder Sohne style 79 book organ, later remodeled to play Wurlitzer 125 rolls on duplex roll frames, with a suction pump, Wurlitzer drums and drum actions, and probably Wurlitzer stack / valve chest. It also had a Cesar Maserati street-piano (barrel piano) facade replace the original facade at some point. Then later on that facade was reproduced in fiberglass and the wood original sold separately, with the fiberglass one on the organ now. The organ was previously on PTC carousel #49 before it was auctioned off (in PA I think), and before that was on PTC carousel #41 in Wildwood, NJ. I don't know the earlier history or serial number. IMO this organ's pipes need serious attention from a pipe voicer.

The first tune we hear is the cakewalk "Creole Belles" composed by J. Bodewalt Lampe (published 1900).

Very nice! But is the other organ still playing too? I hope so, as it's my favorite Knoebels organ.

It's gone back to playing badly again!, no glockenspiel or the reed rank playing, i thought they had sorted all that out, i can only hear the violins and trombones and possibly flutes, i would dearly like to see inside this organ and see what pipes are in it, it has so much potential, just needs a complete overhaul.

Too much gold paint!, those carvings need a lot more detail to bring them out properly, would look better in various colours.

I LOVE KNOEBELS !! I have never heard this organ play IN TUNE ! Why is it always out of tune ? The two carousel organs sound in tune !

So did the Frati permanently switch to using the MIDI player? And are these arrangements derived from Wurlitzer 125 or Wurlitzer 150 rolls? I recognized the last tune “You Made Me Love You,” which is a Wurlitzer tune and not an original Artizan 61-key tune. However, I did hear “Just An Echo In The Valley” which I’ve heard played on the Frati before on a BAB roll. If so, I’m assuming that all of the tunes are on one big playlist and the tune order is not based on roll.
