Is this some special LED UV varnish or conventional (Mercury) offset varnish can be used with your LED? Does your LED cover enough wavelength range?
This is a kind of LED curable UV varnish. We only supply 365 nm, 385 nm, 395 nm and 405 nm UV LED curing system currently.
Can this system be used on guitars?
yes.
I already ordered a regular uv lamp. I thought the LED might be safer but there just isn't much info out there on it for wood finishes.
yes, to be honest, some traditional UV varnish can not be cured UV LED completely, because UV LED supply more narrow wavelength than regular uv lamp, that is the biggest difference. If you would like to use UV LED to replace mercury lamp, you had better confirm UV sensitive materials is UV LED CURABLE (can be cured by UV LED). It is important.
