September Unboxing | Whopper Ploppers Are Back!
This month's box is a BANGER!!! It's packed with great baits that are going to help you land some fish.

1. River2Sea Whopper Plopper. The River2Sea Whopper Plopper is a legendary topwater lure, ideal for late summer and early fall. As water temperatures cool, bass become more aggressive, chasing down baitfish before winter. The Whopper Plopper’s propeller tail creates a unique splashing and churning sound that triggers violent reaction strikes from bass. It’s perfect for covering a lot of water quickly, making it a go-to for locating feeding fish. Early mornings and late evenings are especially effective times for topwater presentations like this.
2. ARK TP-70 Popper. The ARK TP-70 Popper is a fantastic bait for targeting bass during the fall transition when they move to shallower waters to feed on shad and other baitfish. The sharp popping action and subtle walking ability of this bait make it great for working around docks, laydowns, or grass edges. Hendricks Voodoo frogs in either Midnight Potion, Midas, or Mad Rattler. 👍

rick i use the Mach Patroller in Skunk color and it smashes around dusk won local tournaments with it but not on Whopper Plopper
Honestly, regarding the whopper plopper, I've said it since I've owned one: It really isn't that good. I've caught a TON of fish on a black Berkley Choppo vs. nothing on the exact same yellow whopper plopper you have in your hand here

I'm so sad I missed this show! (But I was on the lake so, ya know.) Box vs bag, unboxing, and I just got started! big fan of the Whopper Plopper! Got my first topwater catch on a bone colored 110. Rick talks about "how do we know"? I am fascinated with what my lure does under water. Love videos that show the action, and often test my lures in the shallows so I can see what they're doing. I want various brands! The main reason I use MonsterBass is because I get lures I'd never grab off the shelf myself. Got the Hendrix frog a few weeks ago from the Free Bait Friday (got the same one Rick is showing, but was hoping for the dark one. All of my frogs currently have a white belly). It's been kiling it! I haven't trimmed the legs because they seem the right length. Didn't boil it either (I boiled all of my frogs back when I got them in coffee and garlic). Admittedly I haven't even tied on the last Ragnar we got... but after my topwater fishing last week in Cheboygan (caught a 4.5lb LM at night on the Yo Zuri topwater I previously got in a MB box), I'm looking forward to the right conditions to use it! Oh my I missed the shit talking dude lol.

I've started kayak fishing recently, and the bags have been a godsend! (I do miss the boxes a little bit, I store my old plastics to be melted down and stickers in them.)

I hooked a very big smallie recently he was fighting strong and hard and when J was bringing him closer to me he spit the tube out. Should you only use fluorocarbon for tubes? I feel like when I only use fluorocarbon I don’t have a problem?

Cool video...I gotta say though, I use copolymer on 90% of my rods and p line CXX is GARBAGE. If someone wants to step into copolymer (extremely versatile line) you need to be using izorline xxx, McCoy line, Trilene sensation, or the suffix advance. All are similar but there are some differences...if I could only choose one, it's izorline without question (although I do like the sensation more for leader line). I'm to the point now where the only things that get braid is some spinning, frogs some punching rods and a few saltwater rods. Literally everything else is on izorline or Trilene sensation. This includes all my inshore and offshore gear too. Other two I mentioned are fine too though.
I love zman, started with them fishing for reds, flounder and trout. But this willow vibe paired with the berkley champ minnow is a killer in clear water

I mean for me it really depends on the application. I use braid most of the time.

Rick I missed the live. You were asking about baits. As a river smallmouth guy we use gitzit tubes, riot little fuzzy (beaver) and rapala jerk baits. Just some ideas. I’m in the north east. Was turned on to the riot little fuzzy years ago through lucky tackle box before you started monster bass. Great video with just you talking. Keep up the good work

Yes. so MONSTERBASS technically doesn't own GrandeBass. the parent company of MONSTERBASS is Outdoor Playground Inc. and they have been contracted to help GrandeBass with their warehousing and operations but they are owned by a different company called Maximus Outdoors. Next week we will announce the acquisition of another company so stay tuned. this one is really exciting.

I have been adding red hooks to my crankbaits for 20 years. Does it catch more fish? I honestly don't know.
