Dude wrote half a song in the 13 years he was with the band while Mike Pinder always wrote for every album he did. Being on album covers and promotional materials doesn't count you as a member of the band. Contracts do. He was offered $400,000 but wanted more and only ended up with $77,000

Moraz is deliberately muddling up his understanding to confuse the defence and the jury . In retrospect perhaps an interpreter would of been useful as Moraz could just fall back on him misunderstanding due to English not being his native tongue.

This lawyer is trying to wind up the very cool and calm musicians to no avail . He is rude , not on top of his brief and discourteous. He is failing terribly to prove without any evidence that moaning Moraz was a full member of the band . The point has been made that there is and never was a written agreement or verbal that he would be a band member. He was a session musician. The lawyer is trying every way but makes himself look extremely foolish.

How ridiculous to claim that Moraz was earning more money than the rest of the band . Assuming each songwriter received royalties then Hayward & Lodge would have earned the most and so much more than those two . Think of all the hit songs, hit albums made before Moraz joined ! I don’t know how much he contributed to song writing in his time in the band but it can not have ever equaled what the two principal writers did. Why on earth would they offer Moraz to be full band member? Why would they need too ? He was employed as a session musician and on a wage . Moraz has history as a difficult and flaky musician.

Love the mbs . And I've watched recordings of performances with as moraz. Although a very good keyboard, he didn't replicate the oriiginal sound and he moved around so much to draw attention. watch the Mbs , they are a cool moving band. No mick jagger moves.

The document states if he ever leaves the band, and for promotional purposes, he can say he is an 'ex member' of the Moody Blues. Meaning he WAS a member in the first place.

How could Moraz be "destitute" if he had so many projects going? Was he that bad at negotiating contracts? Sounds like he viewed the Moody Blues as a cash cow for him. Personally, I never cared for his contributions on the various albums. Pinder was the best.

A friend of mine played in the Detroit Symphony when the Moody Blues started doing their live performances of "Days of Future Passed". A smaller orchestra was drawn from the symphony, one of whom was a bassoon player, to back the band in their performance. The bassonist asked the band for their autographs as a keepsake from the event. They politely, but firmly, told him to piss off. When he related this story to my friend, she laughed and said "Hon, welcome to the 'Big Leagues'." It was readily apparent that the Moody Blues strictly controlled access to every aspect of the business they were in and made money from. Formidable men, to say the least.

Have loved the Moody Blues since 1971/72, ages 10/11. I really gotta say this lawyer grilling the band has such a pompous, rude attitude! I grew up with Ray, Justin, John, Mike and Graeme not Moraz. He was and never was to me ever a Moody Blue. He was more like a session player but never a member!

Just pay the man and get on with it.
