Have you looked into the splash-it system for the dribble bar, so the problem with killing the grass is minimized? Looks like it works anyway.

i change them bearinghs every 2 year u should change the one on the bottom during the winter takes about a day

Have a look at Splashit kit for the bottom of the pipes on the dribble bar they are like mini splash plates, look to be a decent job
