Thanks for posting this, very nice to see Jim Pons and John Beck together singing a classic! I’ve always been a fan of Jim’s since The Leaves!

These guys had a pretty good sound for the time and the song fit perfect for a relationship where the girl was a runaround airhead, and I had a couple of them.

I just saw them play in Vancouver last night and the show was overwhelmingly good. Highly recommend.

With all respect to Frank Beecher, it was Danny Cedrone who played the iconic solo to Rock around The Clock. Cedrone, unfortunately lost his life after falling down the stairs in his home. Mr. Beecher replaced him, and did a fabulous job as a Comet! Having said that, Bill Haley probably had enough comets to light up the sky! lol

People are not realising how good a performance this was. VERY rare for someone 70+ to still have that timing and most of all that amount of power in his voice. And completely in tune. A lot of singers lose that 40 years prior.
