The vacuum plate in my carb isn't aligned with the throttle blade. When I open the throttle fully, the blade hits the top, but if I push a bit more, there's a click, and the plate moves all the way up, i am havibg issues like a lean condition, hanging idle, and bad popping on decel. Bike runs fine its just alot of popping an air fuel mixture is at 3-4 turns out and still popping. Could this be the issue ur deacribing in the video?
I took took off the carb and changed jets and cleaned the holes and checked the needle position which is when i noticed the plate issue. But because of my inexperience with 4 stroke carbs i didnt think anything of it untill i saw this video.
Yeah upside down Vacuum Plates will cause a lot of wierd issues. I assume you got it figured out? Thanks.

I have silver flakes in the oil filter on my 2008 trx450 what could it be?
@@jefeoOllllllllllOo Big end of the rod went back. Don't attempt to start it or anything.
@@trxtech3010 I have used it quite a bit maybe about 3 oil changes deep and a total of 15hrs and every oil change has flakes. Its sounds good and no issues, just the flakes.

I believe the motor should be running for an accurate measurement

Idk if ur still looking at the comments but I have 04 yfz 450 and it just doesn’t want to start has spark has gas carb is clean you could keep cranking and cranking and won’t back fire or pop off it won’t even start with starting fluid it would just backfire idk im at a stump
check to make sure your cam timing and valve adjustment is correct if your valves are too tight it can cause the symptoms.
@@trxtech3010 the timing is right but like it spins over fine right now but before when it first happen I was riding and then it died and pulled over and it wouldn’t crank over it’s like the starter wanted to spin but the motor didn’t then I let it sit and it started to spin over just fine but doesn’t start
So... the fuel level should be just a bit above the pilot jet. This is right for mikuni carbs of a Katana 750 too, right? Thanks!!
Yes, basicully you want your jets to be submerged just enough that they will not suck the fuel level down to much.

@@DirectCurrent4u if the carburetor is "level" then if you set your fuel level with a "level" carburetor then your level will be in correct. For example on the 660 Raptor's... You should maybe do some research and know what you're talking about prior to scooling someone and misinforming viewers...

Can chain is off a tooth or something.
Correct electrical wire gauge to the correct wire terminal end is best ! Crimp with quality tools . There is Garbage Freight and Knipex quality tools in the market along with terminal ends and electrical wire .

Thanks alot for this video. I have a GWM H5 with this motor(atleats an upgrade 4G69SYN as GWM calls it) and I did timing today, but that plunger tensioner did not touch the pulley's bracket after tensioning. Now I know why

Buy tesa harness tape and finish the ends with self adhesive rubber if you cant get shrink around it.
Use the shrink wrap, it’s so much less hassle
I already did that to the wires and then wrapped it with tape. I'm not yndoing the engire harness to due heat shrink

Just so everyone knows: the adhesive used on most electrical tapes are stretch activated. all you have to do is stretch it tight and break it off that way.

I have a xr80r 2003 and some days it start first kick others I can’t get it to start. Some times it pops. Please help what’s wrong with it.
Check your valve clearences. chances are your intake valve and or exhaust valve is extremely tight which hangs the valves open slightly.

Whats the target a/f ratio you runnin ? Got basically the same set up on my 08 450R ... curently in the carb tuning procces using a wide band o2 .. just curious about the a/f your set up like !
I personally would suggest is to be about 12:5 from idle to mid theottle and 11:8 at WOT. You can go 12:5 all the way from idle to WOT if you want it won't hurt anything but I have seen a little more power gained at 11:8 at wide opened like I said. Hope that helps!
