I finally got my hands on Tekken 8 yesterday. The VS CPU mode is what I've wanted in a home console Tekken game for years. I already put three and a half hours of fighting the CPU and watching it fight itself. Street Fighter 6, Granblue, and Tekken 8 are the pinnacle of modern fighting games.

I just can’t understand how they will balance this game for competitiveness with a roster that large…

6 months late, but Superman actually had “ultra instinct” before it was even thought of. They never used the ability in the animation, but Superman has the Theta State, which pretty much does the same thing as UI. Combine that with the fact Superman is faster than instant and has the power to destroy entire multiverses with one punch, Goku would never stand a chance. Superman just has cheat power strength.

There have been HUNDREDS of anime games and only ONE has rised out of the cursed monotony, and that's Dragon Ball FighterZ!

Dragon Ball is the most consistent anime when it comes to games , it just delivers , from creating Anime Arena Fighting Games , to RPGs like Legacy of Goku 2 and Kakarot , to creating a fighting game that is considered among the best fighting games out there in FighterZ , no other anime can do it like Dragon Ball. One thing that worries me about this game is the story mode , if the story mode is the plain old anime story it won't live for long just like we saw with Kakarot , they better revolutionize the story mode rather than plain old anime story.

Yep it's definitely gonna change things things like the devs of other anime games not doing split screen or multiple game stages to use this game will only encourage lazy dev decisions....this game is an insult to the budokai Tenkaichi good name one stage...one.

This is the ONLY modern game thats actually going to be worth something in terms of graphics and gameplay & when it releases who knows how good the rest will be. This is the God of Dragon ball games.

I think most anime games don't work as arena fighters, there needs to be more story focused linear anime games. They need to put way more effort into the story mode of these games.

This game is destined for failure. Online PvP is the main focus and we all know its going to lag. Where is the Rollback Netcode? If this is a next gen anime game that will change how anime games are done, surely it would have Rollback Netcode especially since they've stated Online PvP was the main focus. Its just another flashy anime game.
