Adrianne- where do your students get their audio from?

Which version of AE were you using? My student just followed your video and couldn't find start/ stop opacity. He just used regular opacity with keyframes instead.
This was AE 2021. Adobe removed start and end opacity options and now it’s just opacity in later versions.

4:57 can i use a photo intead of film?
Not unless you had many, many photos. The frames of the video are what you draw on to make the animation. Even a video that is only a few seconds will have 20+frames per second.

Honestly this is my beginner level and my first how to video in Illustrator but I start by only talking about shapes and colors and cover more and more ground with each project. This would be after about 20 minute of tool and workspace introduction.
