Germany got screwed after WWI. The victors squeezed every cent out of Germany, not to mention other unreasonable terms. All that even though Germany didn't actually lose the war! Today Germany has no reason to feel guilty and should rebuild their military and live the way they are supposed to and become a superpower along with Poland. The survival of Europe depends on it and so do we here in America.

deployment of carrier battle group during ww2 was compromised by several factors . . . lack of adequate escort combatants . . . in the Pacific theatre of ww2 escort carriers should have been deployed first, feel the heat of an impending large scale naval conflict . . . before sending in the fleet carriers . . . lack of real time intelligence was something that at times plagued both sides, regardless of each other's capabilities . . .

Uboats would've been considered low brow, unfair sneaky combat, which it was, these maritime vessels weren't military vessels, I get it but because it's basically murder, it turned the country even more against the Germans, even in war, Karma,'s a bitch. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

I'm ex Royal Navy 85/92 and although we all got trained in firefighting ,I was a gunner/ missile controller the mechanics/ marine engineers, chefs, and air squadrons embarked got more training and had to go for refresher training on every ship they joined, where as we seamen gunners got a 2 week course in basic training then about 2 days extra training every five years or so. But at least we junior rates are allowed to drink beer at sea, only 3 cans per day but it's nice when you come off watch looking forward to a cold one. And our petty officers and above have their own bars on board with spirits, vodka, whisky, Mr Jack D and run and allowed as many beers as they want as long as they don't go on watch drunk. To be honest most of us were not big drinkers at sea but we had a few yank sailors come over and visit our ship HIS INTREPID, an LPD and we got them pissed. They returned the favour and we came back off their ship with baseball caps, ships key rings and t-shirts. It was about 1986/7 in Naples. Will need to go up to the loft and dig out my old ,GREAT DAYS STASH. Yes great shame for the boys who died and were terribly injured and the usual slant from the officers trying to blame the lower decks for not knowing their job properly. Yes our naval officers are knobs also. Anyways, good luck from Glasgow, Scotland.😀

WW2 did not begin when Germany and Poland went to war. It began when Britain and France declared war on Germany and brought their worldwide Empires into the war with them. Hitler had no wish to war with Britain, France or even Poland. His sole aim was war with the genocidal Soviets. Britain and France gave absurd assurances to Poland they knew they could not keep. When the USSR also invaded Poland Britain and France did not declare war on them, proving this was always about opposing Germany rather than supporting Poland.
