Easy answer: Start with coreset and your favorite heroes THEN that same night order all the campaign boxes and scenario packs (except Galaxies Most Wanted and Wrecking Crew)...then grab a few scenarios that have "must have cards" based on your heroes and now you've followed the path of many short of completionists lol

Does Meg know her character is stuck in the insane asylum so she can't play Jacqueline anymore? She needs to build a new character to use moving forward

FYI - the campaign doesn't end if all investigators die. It ends if you don't have enough other investigators in your collection to build new decks for characters moving forward

Where did you find that element tracker? BGG I assume? I have been digging for it, but haven't found it yet.

GG Token silos have been a crazy upgrade for SI for me. Im thinking about getting GG bastions for the decks as well, as they act as deck/discharge holders and are fairly low cost.

I just ordered the revised core set and excited to get into this game again. So funny, the old core was the very first board game I ever bought back in 2016 and it was the worst experience ever with how hard it was and I didnt know losing was a normal thing. The game sat after 2 attempts at reading the rules and 1 solo run that ended in 5 minutes after spending an hour on rules and setup haha.. no doubt this time around and with the revised core will be much different. Curious where you got your mat from? Feel like its necessary since playing tcgs without a playmat is horrible.

my favorite Cap Marvel deck is your "Oops, All Energy" deck. i've won many games with this one and i keep coming back to it whenever i get bored with the other heroes

Great video! I really don’t like Klaw, though. I understand why he’s such a bread and butter villain, and I’m not saying he’s a bad one - I just don’t find it fun to play against such a swingy villain that, over the course of 3 turns, can hit you for anything from 0 to 15 or more. It becomes too much of a game of luck.

Question about hazard icon. Let’s say the villain draws their 1 encounter card and it’s a side scheme with a hazard icon. Do I draw another encounter card now that there is another hazard icon in play??

How do you play this game and how do you win?

Cyclops brought in a new option for adding value to the multi-Damage combo. Just slap copies of Marked on as many minions as possible and now the spread damage from Dive Bomb or Melee will also feed back to the villain's HP. Assuming that there are 3 marked minions on board with an average HP of 3 and assuming you have 3 Follow Through that's another 15 damage from Dive Bomb feeding into the villain's health bar. Marked works with anything labeled attack so there are many more applications but generally speaking Honed Technique is the core since hitting a 1 HP minion with 5 plus damage feels a bit wasteful.

Finally got my Iceman review out so I could watch this without being influenced! We have some views that are very different, and some that kinda line up. I love this video though and I think the instructive nature of some parts, how you explain how his mechanics work in more detail than me, is fantastic. The biggest difference is probably how we view him with Perfect Defense because...I actually don't like it haha! Surprise. He's good at hitting those triggers though but being defensive in combination with his expensive and - in my opinion - slightly overpriced cards, it's just a slow defensive playstyle on top of a slow defensive hero and uhhh... I wanna go faster! I think you've also given heavier weight to going alter-ego and shuffling Ice cards back in and not basic attacking minions, where I've especially favoured readying for him. Unfortunately for you, I think 'Pool has been really good for the last few heroes and I absolutely love it for Iceman. Healing Factor combined with Frostbites keeps him ultra-healthy - which keeps the triple resources online for Bobby's expensive cards. The icing on the cake is Stick-To-Itiveness which is a near-guaranteed ready every turn, meaning more and consistent Frostbite goodness. Oh, and I like making Snow Clones angry with Get Rage-y. But we're agreed on Leadership being most powerful!

I haven't played with this spirit yet. It would be nice to have some basic tutorials and preparations for each spirit.

Question, on the first scheme against Scott summers, was the boost card for the scheme forgotten or am I missing something? I lost against ultron last night, my first go at him With Wolverine and gambit. The drones overwhelmed me.

I found out: I need two LCGs in my life. :D Arkham Horror is king imho. The story, the deckbuilding, the mechanics (mostly), the artwork...its just incredible and SO much fun to play with my brother. We even build or own little app which reads the huge amount of text with proper ai voices and atmospheric background music and sounds. BUT you need to commit to it and a campaign. I got Marvel Champions as second LCG and to me its the perfect alternative. No reading, no big campaign, quick fun, easy rules but many possibilities and so many beloves heroes to try out. Marvel Champions is great for what it is, but to be honest it cant compare to the memorable experiences I got out of Arkham Horror. There are just so many moments where the different campaigns surprise you and such intense situations...

I would take VTs over Nelsons on this one!
