people may have hated Lucy being rude and upfront but she seemed very down to earth too and often thought of Desi all the time..

I bought the entire show (I Love Lucy) on DVD. That says everything.

Watched Lucy in later years ( am German and almost 70 now) and became fascinated..She reminded me so much on my American woman girl friend . ...always loved independant strong willed women with humour and power... they can be so tough and still give so much ..Lucy is full of empathy and passion and so tender and sweet inside.. !!! what a marvellous gentle hillarious being..timeless.. ❤😂. The only thing I obsessed with as a child was Lucy! I would be outside playing in my grandmother would call me in because Lucy was on TV. I watched The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy and I Love Lucy religiously! There are lines from the Lucy show that I repeat 55 years later because they were so funny to me as a child. I remember one episode where she was trying to get Mr. Mooney to give her some money to buy a new refrigerator she rigged the refrigerator so the door would fall off in Mr. Mooney‘s hands. he was trying to open the door and she said “jiggle it a little it will open “. It was so funny to me at seven years old that I have repeated it dozens of times.

I will not forgive the people that dared take down Lucille Ball like that. They went at her like wolves because they loved seeing a big star fall.

I could visit the I love lucy show through out my life. They never changed. It wasn’t just lucy, but Ethel and fred too. They were best friends and shared their lives. They made that famous car trip to California together when desi was going to make a movie. I’m seventy so now but I watch I love lucy on my phone. It still makes me laugh.

Reflecting back, the re runs were on when I was little, I'm realizing I loved Lucy more than Batman and Robin 😊 she is one in a billion 💓

She was a well known control freak. Richard Burton hated her.

Their kids could never hold a candle to their parents. I wonder if there was ever any resentment because of that.

My Grandpa was good friends with Ricki. The episode where Lucy and Ethel are competing for Ricki and Fred's attention because of a boxing match between the "Kid" vs . Rocky (Marciano) My Grandpa was Harry Kid Matthews, but my Grandpa's manager, aka the "Professer," wouldn't allow my Grandpa's full boxing name in that episode. This is what he told me and what my Aunt told me and me being a lifelong fan of the I Love Lucy show , I think it's an awesome story. ❤

I just watched Lucy and Desi on Amazon Prime. It’s fantastic. This is excellent too. I grew up in the 60’s and two things were on in my house: The Judy Garland Show and I Love Lucy. I had a wonderful childhood.

I guess you could say she was a comedy genius because she was good at knowing how to act it out to make the jok funny

People say she’s a comedy genius but she is not because she said that in an interview and she is right because her writers wrote the script not her what she was amazing at and what she should be called instead of a comedic genius is an amazing physical comedy actress
