The worlds fastest ‘accelerating’ coaster is Stealth, but it terms of top speed (in the UK), its second to Hyperia which officially is 81mph. You’re right though, it’s a pretty negligible difference!

If you don’t appreciate the history of places and the locations that they are set in and think all parks just need huge rollercoasters and thrill rides then I can see why you’d be disappointed. Yes it’s definitely seen better days but I still think it’s a unique little place and can still provide a fun time for families with young kids.

It has some brilliant history but admittedly, it wasn’t in the best state when I visited with animatronics not working and empty spaces where rollercoasters once stood. It’s still a great little place to visit though 👍🏻

Haha, that sounds pretty awful! Thunder Hawk is a clone of an SLC we have here in the UK at Blackpool Pleasure Beach called Infusion. That has the same effect on people unfortunately! Shivering Timbers was a great wooden coaster though, I really enjoyed it. Hopefully you get to experience it soon 👍🏻

Thanks so much Liz, much appreciated, and yes, I’m definitely ‘24’ … or at least that’s how old I was when I stopped counting 😅 The forces on Speed just about win it for me, even though you’re right, it does have a painfully slow lift hill and next to no theming either which is a shame 😔 So glad you enjoyed those coasters and your day at TP overall. They have some incredible rides (and events) which, when combined with great ops, provides you with an epic day out 😍

The resins are ok but I personally preferred the older style, they were cheaper too! Not on the Friday no, but I will be there at the weekend 😊

Hi Laura! Icon is a fantastic ride and was my UK number one until Hyperia came along 😄 If you’ve ridden rides like Icon, Infusion and The Smiler then you’ll have no problem with Hyperia! Head down to Thorpe Park and ‘Find Your Fearless’, you’ll be really glad you did. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏻

It really does have some amazing rides, and you’re right about Hyperia, it has elements that you won’t find anywhere else and is a world class experience. I’m glad you had an amazing stay and thanks for watching 👍🏻

I guess it depends on what you define as ‘scary’? Is it Height? Speed? Forces? Inversions? Head down and ‘Find Your Fearless’ on Hyperia, then you know you can conquer anything 😄 But there are quite a few rides that aren’t intimating such as Tidal Wave, Storm Surge, Quantum, Dobble Tea Party, Flying Fish, Depth Charge etc. so you can still go and have a great day!

I thought the same on my first visit last week but l went on all the big rides and would encourage you to do the same, even Stealth and Hyperia which are very imposing up close. They are brilliant rides and l went back for seconds! Even Colossus which is a little rough is a great experience. Just get yourself in the queues and you won't be disappointed ❤

They are seriously lacking in family flat rides at the moment to the point where what they do have looks a little bit out of place. I do like the idea of creating a new family area on Amity Beach, I think that would be great. So much extra space could then be freed up elsewhere around the park!

I would definitely like to see something original back in there. It’s such a fun coaster!

Thorpe closes shortly after Fright Nights, end of Oct / early November. It reopens for the new season end of March 👍🏻

No, parks like Chessington, Alton Towers and Legoland usually have Christmas events which mean they are usually open through until the end of the year 😊

@@_adventureplanet It was on 2 trains this weekend and the operations were so so quick, one train hitting the break run and the other been dispatched
