The New Escoda EVOLUTION Brush | The best mop brush for watercolour painting?
Hi,
Nice people from Escoda brushes very kindly sent me this new brush for testing. And I decided to film the unboxing and my very first impressions. All the opinions expressed in this video are my own and the video is not sponsored. I am very happy to finally make this video because it means that I can start using this brush in my art practice:) I will post more content regarding my experience of working with it on my Instagram @elizavetasmirnovaart

Thanks for the video. I love the Daniel Smith luminescents and granulating colors as well. The only problem with luminescents is my print shop said they can't reproduce the shimmer well in prints which I sometimes get made. I don't know if technology has changed much yet. Objects often have shimmers. I've played with the Duochromes and Iridescents. Some are more effective than others. I haven't figured out yet if the Duochromes are effective under glass when framed yet because I haven't framed any yet. Any ideas on that?

  • @WhstlblwrBlastingEpsteinsILK

Daniel Smith is under criminal investigation for racketeering with Epsteins partners-in-crime in both major parties. All stockholders in Epsteins Wall Street cartel. I lainched the special investigation with special prosecutors exposing Epsteins pals Trump, Trumps NY real estate attorney Cuomo and the Bidens. Trumps a former Democrat who funded the Clintons & the Dems. Despite their theatrics with BlackRock owned mainstream media. Hard pass. Good news is all the artists who fell for their frauds scams will get reimbursed & paid damages. Eventually.

i think the notebooks are meant to be broken in! im new to writing down notes, but from what i can tell the notebook that you said was hard to lay flat can handle being broken in. i only need it for notes and i like how affordable it is, but also i think it makes sense based on how nice the products are. normal paperback books dont lay flat either... im breaking them in pretty hard and the stitching feels strong. okay, maybe not so hard, the glue wont stay. but it's not really usable without breaking them in :/ actually, i stick to thinking they should be broken in. it is only an issue with the cover page that is not stitched together with the inside pages. do not break in the cover page, that's it.

This was so informative, thank you for sharing, I especially enjoyed your paintings you used to showcase the colours. I’d like to give you some feedback though, you are overworking the paint, by constantly going back in with the brush you’re messing up the granulation pattern. Put the paint on and leave it, just let it do its thing.

This is a fantastic video. I love you have simplified the selection process and showed how and why we can use granulation to create more interesting textures in our paintings. Your paintings that you used to demonstrate the use of each paint are wonderful. I especially like your use of sodalite genuine in the lake water painting. Subscribed in flash! PS. The Super Vision paint was very interesting. The particular one you showed, the turquoise/pinkish brown paint, is a stunning granulated paint. I've never heard of this brand before. Please let us know more about these paints.

My mother gave that pad block to me last Christmas 2022, it was so easy and steardy. I use it with oil paints. So oil paints like sennelier oil paints and the sennelier oil paint sticks and oil pastels, water colors, and acrylics for any brand works with this. I will recommend this pad block to everyone. No cracking. It's 200% good quality. It's not begainers for my opinion and experience. Any one that's beginners - experts can use use it. Had the paper Sence Christmas morning 2022. 10:58

Thank you very much, your talk was quite topical and very interesting, and the paintings you showed proved you have a great talent and are not just a professional "swatcher". You are right, the choice in paints has increased exponentially, it's crazy. I'm in the sketchers category, and I use Bloodstone Genuine to "create interesting textures in seconds" as you said. I like it a lot. I was also impressed by the Sodalite blue in your video (YT auto-subtitles wrote "cellulite genuine" 🤣). Despite all the products today, I can't find a non-granulating, low-saturation, large-value-range dark paint that, in high dilution, would match the undertone of Bloodstone Genuine. I too want to declutter: I'm opting for monochrome line and wash, but with two paints, one basic, one grainy, same hue. Payne's grays are mostly bluish, diluted sepias are yellowish, neutral tints are neutral, the iron oxides are grainy, PV29 is too saturated in dilution... The only hue I found online that matches that exquisite Bloodstone undertone is "Van Dyke Violet" from the Sennelier Soft Pastels. I Just happen to have one, bought 15 years ago on a whim because I liked the color -I'm no pastel artist. Now looking at the Van Dyke brown watercolors.

Hi elizaveta I was wondering if the roubloff brushes are worth purchasing over other brands. Especially the snow-white Japanese brush, like how much water it holds and does it flatten out like it says on the website? And also the travel brushes they offer if you have tried any.

Hi! I don’t know about over other brands but I really like Roubloff brushes and have been using them more and more lately. Regarding the snow white, it’s my all time favourite, so I’d definitely recommend this brush, it holds a lot of water and does flatten out, yes. I haven’t tried their travel brushes yet, so don’t know. But I’m willing to try them myself in the future. I think they are same as their regular ones, so should be good

@ElizavetaSmirnovaArt thank you so much it's so hard to find any reviews on them considering how amazing they look and if you say it's your all time favorite it must be something special. Will definitely get snow-white in the travel format along with the flat and squirrel imit. And their flat goat hair brush for the larger washes. With that I don't think I will need any other brush tbh. Anyways thank you for the reply really appreciate it. And have nice day 😃
