How long did you have your kobro Libra 2? I’m heard they don’t last that long

I love my Kindle Paperwhite and I have it in the agave green one and love it 🙂 I had to pay 20 dollars to remove the ads as customer service from Amazon wouldn't remove them for free. But I'm glad I don't have the ads now. 🙂 I'm definitely a kindle girl 🙂

You said that your preference is Kindle because the differences don’t outweigh what you have invested in Kindle already. So which would you suggest if you had never owned an e-reader before and were just given both of them to review and given the same books on each reader? 🤔

Honestly. I judge the pikes a lot. I know they about these girls babysitting and we don’t expect to see the kids with their parents all the time but the pikes really take the cake! They never with their kids! Even when they on vacation they hire mothers helpers! But I don’t really consider them helpers since they with the kids all day except one night a week! Even at Disneyland they ditch their kids! So no surprise that when Mallory goes on strike they just hire more child labor instead of parenting. I haven’t read this book but it’s no surprise.

I always loved the handwriting in the BSC books. I'm with you, I loved Kristy and Stacey the most. I didn't like Claudia's because I had to struggle through all her spelling mistakes.

The reason for the library difference is pretty simple indie authors have to make their eBook exclusive to kindle if they want to be included in kindle unlimited. Kobo+ does not have this requirement.

I heard that with Libby/Overdrive you can only use one library card if u have more than one. I have 4 library cards and not all books are at every library

Does it still use overdrive? I think that’s one of the best things it does have options to use a kobo plus at 7.99 similar to kindle unlimited or the library app for free checkouts

For someone that doesn’t like carrying around or reading in my illustrated hardbacks I will say reading illustrated ASOIF books on my Kobo has been a game changer.

Bought the Kobo color some weeks ago and love it. Love how you can annotate and write on the text. I've had a kobo before (kobo h20) and have had a kindle. My first e-reader was a kindle. Since we don't have kindle Unlimited in my country and can't use libby/overdrive on kindle, but can use it on kobo, I've become more fond of kobo. I think both Kindle and Kobo is great, but it depends on where you live in the world and what you need in an e-reader.

I saw some booktubers who used Calibre to transfer their Kindle books to their Kobos ! But I understand how musch of a hassle that can be if you're okay with staying in the Amazon ecosystem. Thanks for your comparison video!

I didn’t understand one thing about California girls. Why was Mary Anne freaked out by the little girl with asthma? She has a boyfriend whose brother has asthma and major allergies? Hunter? Another thing. I don’t buy that dawn is suddenly ok with carol because she parented them?? Who hates their dad’s future partner then suddenly feels differently because she parents her?

I own the Kindle Paperwhite, Boox Palma and the Kobo Libre Color. I love them all for different reasons. I had a Kindle Scribe but returned it because of the size. Amazon let these other companies take over a market they should have dominated. They are late to the color game... and if they do come out with a color device, they need to do it for the Scribe AND the paperwhite.

Do you buy your ebooks or borrow thru kindle unlimited?

I bought it. I hate it. It seems nobody is mentioning an important thing: everytime you turn the page, the screen takes a long time (thinking?) then it flashes and goes completely black, and only then does it show the next page. It is very very sloooooooooooow... You can't search inside the book or flip through it. It's a disaster. Maybe it is good for the trash bin. I can not recommend it. Do not buy one.

I will use both platforms. Some books I will just purchase on my Kobo. Indie authors I will just use my Kindle

I have only had mine for 2 days so far so good. I have the paperwhite as well. The only thing is I lose my page so easily if I accidentally scroll.

On another note, I just finished Ready or not by cara Bastogne. I enjoyed it and I didn’t hate the dad. I felt like he was pretty realistic under the circumstances. Ant he came around in the end.

I love the kobo libra colour. My only thing I don't like is when I use a template and look at my notebook online it looks like I wrote on a blank screen. But the size for my desk is perfect. If they get that fixed I might switch from the scribe
