I actually ordered a new control panel then changed my mind since this dw was 22 yrs old(I have 3 previous panels) I ordered on a Saturday cancelled on Monday before the item shipped and they still processed and shipped anyway. Cost $260. All I got was a control cover! Sears parts direct doesn’t the worst to deal with trying to deal with after it shipped and wouldn’t cancel BEFORE it shipped. This reset worked for me I’m truly grateful…bless you for helping this single senior lady in my 70’s

I didn't have the same buttons to push but I did alternate between the Normal and other buttons and it started working. Thank you very much.

It might be even more simple -- ours has a "Control Lock" button that disables all the controls. Under that button it might say "3 seconds." Long-press the control lock button for 3 seconds, now it works again 😀

You can also do Hi temp & Heat/Energy Saver Dry &, Push those in order twice and it will work. I know that it works for my dishwasher, which is like 20 yrs old

I did the heated dry and normal wash combo back and forth a couple times and got mine to reset. Sorry I don't know my model number, the house is a rental

I had mine locked on Flood mode... and there was standing water. Mine is a 16yr old Kenmore Elite. Resolved the drain issue... 2 thingamadoodads (clips that hold adjustable rack) got past the screen and filter!?!? It drained. It's noted it may take 24hrs for unit to register dry drain pan. Meow... I tried the sequence you suggested, in reverse... and yours is the first one noted normal - heated x2 then normal. I will let you know!!!

In case anyone comes accross this video. I have the same issue with a Kenmore 700s. Replacing the gearcase fixed it for me. Here is the video from appliace parts pro. I bought my gearcase from amazon. several special tools and sizes of tools needed if you are planning to do this yourself. Thought for sure we were looking at buying a new dishwasher. 13 years later and this solution worked for me too. Thank you! We have a 14 year old Kenmore Ultra Wash - Quiet Guard Ultra. Pressed the same button sequence about 5 times before all the lights came on. The test cycle ran about 10 minutes and the blinking green light was gone. Ran a full load through the 1 hour wash with no issues. No blinking green light after the wash cycle. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Thanks again.

Replacing the whole tub just isnt logical. It's not the tub its self making the noise. It has to be something attached to it that can be replaced.
