This is really, really, good to listen to. Superbly, lovingly, with vigour, resolve and innovation - but tender, clear, mighty - the composition sojourns, via its motif, from at least 300 years ago through those years of American musical, and Soulcial, history while simultaneously bringing my musical ears into Today, where it's firmly planted: And Tomorrow!
