That was me that mention the use of extract on the last video mate. It actually came up in another CZcams review (he has since deleted all his content) He purchased longnecks of their megaswill clones and the comment of extract brewing came straight from the horses mouth👍
Cheers mate for the info. I honestly don’t know how they survive brewing this quality of beer, hopefully one day they can rectify their shortcomings as a brewery🍻

Probably the worst 3 commercial beers I’ve had in my life Hef, it’s very unprofessional to produce product of this quality, especially in the cut throat beer market🍻

Have you ever brewed the All Inn Fresh wort kits ? They are pricey but I think they are pretty great. still half the price of bought beer and don't have that homebrew twang the kits come with.
Ive pretty much brewed all grain myself the last 3 years but I have heard good things, just all grain wort, so should be pretty good as long as you can control fermentation temp and go the Tigers 🐅 🍻

Sounds like a bit of an SA iconic beer. The look and description reminds me of some of the old school macro draughts in NZ like DB Draught. Cheers Gez 🍻

Great review, mate. I’ve always had a soft spot for West End. My first visit to South Australia was a boys trip to Radelaide in 2000 and as you can imagine, we drank truckloads of West End (as well as the odd Coopers Dark and Stout on tap). Cheers!

White foam, medium bubbles, falls quite quickly. Sweet, syrupy aroma with a slight herbal note. Golden color, clear. In taste, malty, light corn, herbal bitterness, a bit stalk, a typical mass eurolager without a soul.
You want soul in your beer, brew all grain yourself 🙂

You will never see a Grafton brewing beer on this channel for reasons I cannot say online publicly but I will always support Bent Bridge, Sanctus and the other local independents

Great review. I could understand the hate from beer snobs who only buy craft beer but for most of the population who just want to smash down a lager it is a good beer.

Hi Chris, yes this beer goes alright as for kronenbourg, it was brewed under licence here in oz but I haven’t seen it for a while but if I do see it in my travels, I will grab a 6 pack🍻
@@GezBeerReviews I prefer the French made Kronenbourg, we just don’t do it justice out here in OZ. The French one comes in 500ml cans. Really nice and creamy.
Don’t start me Chris on my disdain of the brewed under supervision bull shit that we pay for here in oz, I will keep an eye out for the can. 🍻

Hey Mark, I haven’t seen dinner ale for a while now but you will get reschs draught on tap in a lot of places and the famous silver bullet in a lot of bottle shops, it’s pretty tasty in the longneck I reckon. Cheers mate

Great review Gez. I have yet to have this one having only had the pale ale and stout which I thought were both good value for money. 4.4% is as high as I’d want for a lager especially if I was gonna throw down 6 on a summer afternoon. Cheers

Drinking a powers atm which is close to its use by and its more than drinkable. Could be a beer that needs a bit of time, I'm no expert though
Forced carbonated beers only get worse with age unlike bottle conditioned beers which normally improves the beer. Honestly thought it was very below par compared to its stable mates brewed at Yatala but you know they could have tinkered with the recipe since I’ve review as well. Cheers mate

Great review. I haven’t tried many Aldi beers but at that price, I probably should consider it. I’m assuming they’re using Nelson Sauvin hops which explains the green grape and white wine type aroma. Cheers!

Good stuff mate. Definitely better pale ales out there but as far as value for money goes I don’t think many of them will beat this one at less than $2 a beer. Cheers

I couldn't ge this beer. Thought it was rubbish. Pirate life have terrible brews generally. It was to me, a bad beer. But hey if you like it, I like that!
Its just one of those beers hey Goody, like I said I've liked banana flavoured stuff my whole life, I do family member who cannot anything with Banana in it, as for Pirate life, I don't mind the south coast pale ale, pretty refreshing beer , like they are not brewing anything over the top, I suppose that what happen when the corporates take over the show.cheers mate
@@GezBeerReviews Totally get it mate. I am not a huge banana fan. The frifter liked this and I was like like YUC. I try to not judge personal flavours but Pirate life are hit and miss. Peppermint stout and I would be running away.

it's criminal to sell this stuff Deano, I still have 2 more of their beers to review and my early mail I've received, is that they are just as bad, might be some more drain pours sadly

Well done on putting them down kindly. I think they need to look at their recipes and adjust cause it’s not working. As said in private if you and Daz are putting effort in to home brew surely a retailer with more time and expertise can deliver as well.
I'm pretty confident I can out brew these guys on any style using my little brewzilla setup, they need to go back to basics and get some independent help I'd say

I reviewed it and thought it was absolute rubbish. We all like different things. The grifter loved it, I couldn't stand it.
