Hello, what is the name of the system? I only saw a stainless steel toilet, but in your video you have ceramics?
your explanation is good, language is clear. really appreciatable video ❤.
Before watching this video,I watch some onboard explanation and i didn't understand well but sir, this video is very clear to understand Thanks sir
2-3 drips a minute is gooch
How do we ensure that gap between both the stationary and rotating part of mechanical seal.? Please tell
I'm an engine cadet and I wish to see you as a 2nd eng and a chance to work under you. Really a great content sir. ✊🏻😎

Remarkable
Awesome as usual! Great explanations and videos ensights.
Thank you
Thank you
I watched your videos . The best I've seen so far and a great help for aspiring (and current) engineers! Made me reminicing my sailing years.....however not missing the work as a junior on sewage plant systems! Wishing you all the best in your future career!
Hahah those hardships is what unite us. It's always fun to meet fellow seafarers and share tales only we understand.
Amazing video sir ... thank you 🎉
Nice Video Shark. Very interesting the explanation about the Hydrocarbon Flammability Diagram. Success and not else. Greetings !
Thank you amigo mio, I'm happy it was useful. Success and nothing else brother!
My hotwell water ph is less than 8 but boiler water ph is 12.. how can i maintain both in range?
We use unitor chemicals
Check the hot well for any oil traces or contaminants (use boiler coagulant to make oil particles rise and be visible in the surface). If you dose directly in the hotwell and no change is observed then check the quality of the distillate being produced from the Evaporators.
@@ShrimptoShark quality of distille water from FWG?
Hahaha that's correct on these cruise vessels we are used to calling the fwg, Evaporators. Correct try from the sample point to test to see if it is highly acidic (which it shouldn't be)
My gratitude to you for this video, amigo
You're welcome and thank you for your kind comment
Superb bro
Thanks 🤗
The hardest part for me is working with people who have done this hundreds of time before. Since I don't want to slow the job down, I have to try to capture as much as I can with the little time I am able to ovserve individual steps. This is and will continue to be a painful journey but I hope it eventually becomes easier.
It gets easier each time but there are so many types of mechanical seals for different pumps. We get to see most of then onboard in various sizes. Success and nothing else
Wait, asbestos gaskets are still used?
It's true that they should be avoided but youd be surprised in the stuff that some ships use. It all depends on the quality of materials your provider gives.
Very nice explanation of topic
I'm glad it was of use amigo
Great explanatin. Thank you :)
Thank you amigo I appreciate your comment on my old cadet adventure 😁😂
Very Good Information bro...very informative and good demonstration..
Next week i will be Traning Engineer on board....hope can be like you
With curiosity and hard work you will make it don't worry it's a good job.
kind
Thank you so much
Great job 👏
Thank you brother
pls tell us the detail procedure how to send bunker sample for laboratory test? i mean what are the paperworks we have to do?
I would ask a Chief engineer for paperwork information, but it's usually filling out a form the lab provides and sending it in a box with one of the sample bottles sealed with a marked cable tie
Really a great video and nice explanation but please reduce the background music sometimes the music is annoying .......if it is in lower volume it'll be nice.....nice work brother.
Yeah amigo, this was one of my first videos, I keep trying to learn new things each time.
Exellent explanation, keep up the good work Sir. Good Job
Thank you, I will try my best to continue even in my new environment cruise ships.
thank you very much for detailed explanation!
I'm glad it was helpful! My friend
Thanks for showing descalex mixing
No problem, proper messurement (or at least knowing how to do it) is important in case chief or the second engineer asks.
Thanks for the video. Very well done!
Glad you liked it! Thank you
My friend, with huge respect to you for all utmost useful content you create, I am wondering: what the hell you wear a chevron of the USSR? For what the reason? I can ask you so, because I lived in that goddamned country.
It was a very nice gift from my second engineer when I was a cadet he told me he used it in the past. He is a very smart man with a laid back actitude so I was happy to have part of his style on my coverall.
Thank you for excellent explanation:)
It's my pleasure, success and nothing else!
Straightforward. Thank you boss
Thank you, it's my goal to make these complex things sweet and simple.
There is no water left in the pump glass and it cannot create vacuum. What do you think is the reason?
It could be various things, does it lose all water suddenly or is it something gradual? If there are standby pumps does this happen to all pumps or just one is specific? Do the pumps run frequently due to suspected vacuum leak?
This is because if it is just one pump you can check the flap in case it is clogged with something, if there is a vacuum leak in the acomodation it will cause the vacuum pumps to run without the toilets giving new water to the line causing the pipeline to be dry (there may be a connection to connect a hose and prime the line for flush the toilets full of water various times. Just some ideas, remote troubleshooting is always difficult.
you are really good at explanation !
Glad you think so! My friend I try my best
@@ShrimptoShark i will recommend your channel to all my friends in navel architecture and marine engineering department,i am planning to be in your place after graduation , thank you for videos again it really help
Name the hardness control chemical name
For UNITOR we use Hardness Control which is a phosphate solution.
