Amazing race, but its not clear at all to me where you're supposed to go half th e time.
its really selfexplaining. you go follow the path downhill. there are gates that you have to pass, these gates push you where you have to go. they are hard to spot on camera but in reality you can see them quite clearly. and despite being on the first few racers, you always have others in front of you that give you an idea where to go. hope i could help.
If you do the megalavanche again then please don't skip so much. Want to see the whole race.
There's the question 'What makes us human'. I think the courage, endurance and skill you display in this video is one of the many answers to that question. I tip my hat to you sir. Well done.

I'm so tired of watching the clueless or otherwise cunts in these races that cut people off on corners and refuse to give a rider room to pass.
That is like the most extreme overtaking I have ever seen. Cannot even think of riding that fast on rocky terrains like that (around where the snow ended).

what tires do you ride?
Usually downhill or enduro bikes are used. But you could also use a cross country or all mountain bike. Basically you need a bike that can go fast downhill but also can climb very good. Nowadays most mountain bikes are fluently designed around different purposes. A pure downhill bike for example would excel around the corners and jumps but you would have a harder time pedaling uphill.
