I believe the issue with Rennala's fight is that the Smithscript daggers simply dont stagger, I think if you used the "Piercing Throw" weapon art on it it would have staggered them thus causing the shield to break. Noticed in all runs I've watched that the attacks done to them must stagger not just nick them even rolling into them causes them to stagger. All a matter of stagger from what I can see 🤓

Oh hey it’s me. Let’s gooooo Just started watching. So I will do my predictions of things I hope. Like the Arrow’s Reach Talisman as it increases the time before damage fall off or possible range boost. I don’t know why it does this but it does. Will update this comment as I go Using piercing throw is kinda crazy though, I expect Scatter Throw which is what I use on it. Maybe you put it on later, at the godrick fight at this point. [Picked up later] That Rennala thing is crazy. I don’t even know the problem with that one Weapons are good at status build up so I hope to see this in action at some point, this was at DTS fight [He used frost bite on Morgott] Forgot torrent for Elden beast. Like everyone else. Final verdict. Would have replaced blue dancer with arrow’s reach. The range boost is too good to pass up

I honestly wish there was a smaller version of a smithscript hammer because then you would look more like Thor if you made it lightning infused. I love the weapon types in the dlc but that would just make it perfect for me.

Cold infusion works good with smithscript weapons, and with a properly specced build the Smithsctipt axe is actually the highest damage cold infused axe in the game, even beating the warped axe (but having less buildup) The reason is that, while they fixed the int/fth scaling increasing the physical damage on fire/sacred/magic infusions, they didnt do it for cold. So increasing your int with a cold infused smithscript weapon buffs your phys and magic damage. Not game breakingly strong but it's a good way to build them.

I actually am doing a full smithscript weapons play though but assumed they'd be too strong so decided to limit my self to only leveling up 5 levels per remembrance boss and yeah it was as painful as it sounded on the bright side I finally got my vigor to 40 and am debating on using Messmar's spear as it's technically a smithscript weapon but also not I don't know I haven't used it on any bosses yet but I think I might just to see how it works

I will suggest the Smithscript Daggers again
