Fur Dixon was w/ the band only from March-May 1986, so how is this 1987? I suspect she and Ivy just couldn't co-exist in the same band.
She has said as much yes. Fur said that when she joined it was fun but very quickly became a chore and very hard to get along with Lux and Ivy because they were very demanding of her.

Absolutely brilliant group. Tony is playing his superb Zemaitis. Oh, and Ben Donnelly is possibly the most charismatic bass player ever. How fortunate we were to be able to see them live - along with Dr Feelgood - almost anywhere in France.. Those were the days.

Gosh! I am fascinated with Ivy! She seems such a sweet girl and I cannot help but wonder what she is doing now.
Needless to say, I am not up to much, and have room for a certain Poison Ivy! 😋
Basically, she's retired, she has no interest in playing or performing without Lux; she misses him terribly and says she's pretty much stuck in a mode of permanent grief that she believes will never end. She's okay financially, it appears that Lux was smarter than we knew and invested their money quite well when they had any, supposedly he built quite the stock portfolio. And the records- she doesn't have plans right now she said but alluded that if she ever does need money, well the collection of 45's contains several treasures worth quite a bit of money, in the thousands I would imagine, they started collecting obscure 45's in the early 70's ffs She does have good days though she said, she smokes a lot of pot and paints and is still into photography, a love she and Lux both shared. She has no interest in trying to find someone else to love, no desire to play music, she's sold off all of the gear save for her Grestch guitar she's played forever and a few of Lux's microphones.

I was 17 when I saw them at the Caringbah Inn on 2 September 1984, just a few hours after the Milperra Massacre happened. Spencer changed the intro to this song to incorporate an extended description of the day's big event, translated into the cartoony, cowboy vibe of the band and the song. It was so perfect, but also a little unnerving to be taking the piss just hours after a bunch of people had been killed. Too Much, Too Soon?
